I was only testing their price matching, but they managed to reject a perfectly good price match for the reason that "It will lose them money."
I've seen others price match this item at Officeworks and it's definitely Australian stock/price match…able.
What's my next step? Try a different store?
TGG are scammers.
They had an invoice cost + $1 sale a few years ago.
I went in to purchase a DSLR, yet their invoice cost + $1 was the same price as their normal price, which was dearer than Officeworks.
They purchase the items wholesale and resell the items to their retail front to legally justify this bullshit!
It's a deliberate farce and since experiencing that, I've entered my local store less than a handful of times to, yes you guessed it, price match, which they refused!
Now, if I've time, I'll go in store and seek price matches from Amazon etc, just to waste their time, move stock around and do everything that used to annoy me in retail, while acting stupid :D
I highly encourage others to consider the same behaviour for stores that are trading in legally questionable and morally corrupted manners :)
