Hi all,
I have just replaced my SATA HDD for a SSD in my laptop, so now have a 1TB 2.5" HDD doing nothing and want to convert it into an external HDD.
What is a good brand? I've read the aluminium ones are better then plastic for heat dispersion.

Price got increased, ebay is cheaper
The Orico's are plastic. I'm trying to avoid the plastic ones due to heat buildup.
I doubt if it will be much different from its original environment and anyway there is an air gap even with metal cases. Meh.
I dont like the plastic on the orico cases. Its soft malleable almost ice cream container plastic but it is $10 shipped…
You pretty much need to put in another bag.

I think there's an Orico deal active now.
