Not all products. Mine is as a standard 50% higher price at Coles Liquorland.
This also applies to standard delivery. They tend to use Toll for next day delivery and Auspost for standard most of the time (although it is at their discretion). Some people have had issues with Toll and prefer to have Auspost do the delivery so choose Standard if you'd rather collect your parcel from the post office than a Toll collection point should you not be at home (and obviously if you aren't in a hurry as standard can take 2-5 business days).
It doesn't offer free delivery at my postcode in Perth. It says "Free Delivery for wine & spirit orders over $150*"
Toll have been 100% for me, but others have issues as you say.I just placed an order with free standard delivery to my address within 10km from the Perth CBD, worked fine (free next day was an option too). You aren't trying to get it delivered to somewhere like Rockingham/Warnbro are you? Last week they had this deal and some people from the outer suburbs were not being recognised as "metro" for some reason.
not being recognised as "metro" for some reason.
easily fixed, just buy a Man Bag…
@jv:
I'm metro all the way.
Hi, I'm one of the "others". I'm in Canberra. Toll told me that it was their policy never to leave alcohol at an unattended house, despite First Choice having it as a delivery option and it being perfectly safe, secure and not visible from the road. On the positive side First Choice were very good for refunding my money.
So if you haven't dealt with Toll before, don't assume hassle-free next day delivery will occur.
Toll is a nightmare one of the worse couriers.
Only for those people with bad grammar…
I like your grammar. Keep it up.
having it as a delivery option and it being perfectly safe, secure and not visible from the road.
pretty sure they can't do that due to liquor licensing laws…
No idea whether its legal, but it is common. I get regular deliveries of alcohol to my house, they are left at my front door when I'm not home and have not had an issue with any other carrier (since I stopped living at an apartment at least).
they are left at my front door
They are obligated to only sell liquor to people over 18 under their license.
@jv: True, but Dan's takes that as the person who registers to buy; not the person who collects from the courier. And when I've signed for alcohol deliveries no one has ever asked me to prove my age. Admittedly it has been many, many years since I looked under 18.
Remember that you are not buying alcohol from the courier, they are a sub-contractor of the company you are buying from. They may not even know you are receiving alcohol.
Though I do believe they have an obligation not to leave alcohol where it may be accessible to children (which is why I noted that the area near my front door is not visible from the street).
the person who registers to buy; not the person who collects from the courier.
It's illegal for a store to deliver alcohol to a minor. They aren't allowed to just leave it at the door…
@jv:
Are you certain they aren't allowed, as in illegal? Three online liquor stores I know of do it openly.
Surprising. I thought they just needed your payment by a credit card or something. Are you certain they aren't allowed
I remember reading something about it a couple of years back when there was some discussions about delivering alcohol and how minors were using…
I thought they just needed your payment by a credit card or something.
That is not proof that you are selling to someone over 18… Especially if someone else is accepting the delivery…
@jv: The legislation is state based, so may differ. And no doubt has more to do with lots of circumstances than just "you can" or "you can't". There are often clauses about reasonable behaviour and reasonable expectation. None of which I would expect a delivery driver to be reading and applying every time they have a parcel to drop off :)

Doubt it will differ here…
Someone with a liquor license cannot supply alcohol to someone under 18…
don't forget to check your flybuys account for offers such as 2,000 Bonus Points on ALL Transactions Using New Multiple Delivery Services
also if the $10 off $50+ code doesn't work then perhaps try phone or live chat (voucher/codes issued at 1pm aest so register before then)
Got 2 Riccadonna Asti Spumante for $22 delivered. Thanks Op!
Thanks Op - free next day delivery still valid Thursday morning. Those Hidden Gems aren't terrible!
Incidentally, I left home at 4:55pm without delivery, last delivery date, so can't confirm 100% that Toll delivered "before 5pm" - but they certainly left at the door.Does anyone know if you can add something to make cheap red wine taste better, like treacle, glucose, maple syrup or maybe specific flavourings.
Using it for a red Sangria was my backup plan - Heston may suggest adding a pinch of salt, Oliver would recommend a Soda Stream (though I'd only risk that on a white)
Hopefully goes until Friday, but couldn't find details on their site.currently seems to end tomorrow but could be extended to Friday as previouslyextended - free standard/saturday delivery still available :)
Yeap, but it's because Next Day is Saturday. So "Saturday Free" is active today.
Any bargains?
No point getting free delivery if you can get the items cheaper elsewhere…
