I’ve just reviewed the HCF cover you mentioned above and I can confirm that our GoldStarter Hospital cover is better value for you on this occasion, as our policy covers a number of services not covered by HCF’s Basic Hospital including dialysis, spinal surgery and sterilisation.
Our standard $200 excess on GoldStarter is also lower than the options available with HCF ($250 or $500), and our policy appears to be cheaper too. For example, for a single in WA claiming the full health insurance rebate, HIF GoldStarter Hospital is $1.05 cheaper per week than HCF Basic Hospital.
