I recently purchased 12 packs of GNC Mega Men (a multivitamin) from an eBay seller in NSW as GNC Australia has gone under. However, when I received them, my wife made a comment about the potential for the seller to have slipped in broken glass or dangerous chemicals. I'm highly skeptical that anyone would go to the trouble/have the tools to do so/the packages were sealed with a factory looking plastic, but is there a possibility that the seller could be a sadist? It is kind of weird that the seller would have 16 New sealed Mega Men bottles to sell on eBay, I don't understand the motivation fully.
The seller had never sold this item before and looks like a typical eBay buyer + occasional seller. 80 positive 100% feedback
I wouldn't hesitate to take it.
What's to stop someone purchasing from a brick&mortar shop, slipping in broken glass or chemicals, resealing and then returning to the store?
There's probably such thing as a healthy level of paranoia but that's pushing it haha
