Display port… perfect for ATI eyefinity
IPS panel with their pixel perfect warranty (no dead pixels or will replace)
tilt, swivel and height adjustment…
very good price!
they say dead pixel, but do they cover stuck pixels under that warranty?
They did for me. I ordered one of the 2408WFP screens when they were clearing them out, and after about 2 months a pixel became stuck near the centre of the screen. I rang up expecting them to tell me too bad but they said that if I get a stuck pixel while it is still under warranty (I paid for the 5 year warranty) they will replace it. And because they had no more 2408WFP screens to swap it with they sent me a U2410 as a replacement!
Looking at the pictures, it has DVI and VGA port. Displayport I never used before….
Ordered :P Let's hope Dell/Schenker have their act together this time around, spent 10 hours on hold for my last Dell monitor…
Nice price for an IPS monitor. Give us some 16:10 deals Dell!
need 1920x1200
Why?
Probably because there is not much of a difference between 1680x1050 and 1920x1080. 16:10 compensates a lot more than 16:9 for work, but 16:9 is best for HD content. Personally, I think IPS is more of a need when hitting the 26" mark rather than the 24".
@[Deactivated]: If kkk "needs" 1920x1200 there is always the U2410 for $800. If 10% more vertical pixels is that important to someone then they will pay extra for it.
Lol, it wasn't that long ago that people were happy with 1024x768.
I doubt we will be ever be seeing bargain 1920x1200 monitors - most sold are 16:9.
@camelgrass: 22" 16:10 were the norm, now its 23/24" 16:9, soon it'll be 24/26" 16:10. It will take quite a while considering TV panels are also 1080p now, but it will eventually happen.
Bingo ! . Been holding off for this for a while now . I'd prefer the 16:10 of the 24" IPS but @ >$600 …..
I feel the same way, I've grabbed one with the long term intention this one will become a secondary monitor once IPS 16:10 become affordable.
only if the monitor has HDMI i would have bought another monitor…right now mine is fine~
You don't need HDMI on a computer monitor as DVI is basically the same thing minus the audio. You can get HDMI > DVI cables or use an adapter.
Displayport is meant to be the PC equivalent of HDMI as it carries audio as well.
But imo, if you are a gamer, your audio should be going into a surround amp or headphones and not into a display.
Not if you if you have a PS3 or xbox on the monitor as well as a pc. An HDMI port saves from buying a switch.
There are also DisplayPort > HDMI cables/adapters.
@camelgrass: They're quite expensive compared to DVI-HDMI adapters.
what's the reviews on this monitor?

I would love to buy three :)
the 21.5" is also discounted too… what do you guys think of that one? also 1080p IPS panel vertically adjustable.
why don't you post it as a deal? that way you'll get votes for it.
Great price, can't seem to find if its 1 year or 3 years warranty.
3 years premium warranty. Can upgrade to 4 or 5 years.
Does anyone know if Dell caters for Saturday deliveries?
Don't know - ask at Dell Live Chat support: http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/topic.aspx/ap/topics/…
Pretty quick shipping. I ordered on Monday 24th, and got it delivered to my work in Melbourne today.
I'm sure it will be a good replacement for my 10 year old 19" CRT.
Dell's order/shipping management is crap. I ordered on 21st but order status is still work in progress. Expected date is 2nd June. The guys shipped Scumbag's monitor should be fired.
its a displayport, not HDMI
