R-Box RK3229 Firmware Update Issues

Hi All,

I bought one of the R-Box RK3229 devices from geekbuying and the firmware fails the OTA update. I was pointed to the firmware update pricess for the MQX RK3229 which is the same chipset, but it differs to options available, so won't work.

Has anyone been able to update the firmware on these devices to fix the Kodi not exiting, and just hanging issues?

  Have you tried the latest firmware from Geekbuying's Blog?

  You'll get a better response from the post at Freaktab too as there are 33 pages of responses. Some of the community are even OzBargainers ;)

  Hi Clear,

  I've grabbed the latest firmware, but the instructions for the MXQ don't work for the R-Box even though the same chipset is used in both units, hence the question.

  I have actually posted on Freaktab about it, but as the bargain was posted here, I'd thought I'd ask here as envisaged others would have bought the unit and would have tried to upgrade the firmware too.
