  • It is quite surprising that this phone was released in Dec 2015/Jan 2016 for $250 and I received voucher of $50 for $5. It is first android phone for which price has gone up after 6 months.
Ignore above comment - $250 was US$ which has reduced to $193

    • That $50 voucher was such a scam! Did you buy the phone at the time and if so what are your thoughts?

      • No, I did not find phone worth buying at that time.

  • Edge variant coming out soon. Cheapest is $241 on AE.

Can you please post the link? I'm after the original, not the lite. I want the wireless charging.

"wonderful experience. More surprises are waiting for you to enjoy." Thats a nice feature of this phone -:)

  • I have been looking for this phone for a while tracking the price. This is an OK price, but not the best. I have seen it @ $241 but can't find it anymore.

    $USD189.99 on Banggood.

    http://www.banggood.com/Elephone-P9000-5_5-inch-FHD-4GB-32GB…

    • Banggood has AUD 258.64 as marked price, 94C cheaper than the one on Everbuying. It looks their conversion rate is a bit high.

  • How does it stack up against Redmi Note 3?

  • +1

The Redmi Note 3 is bound to be more reliable and have longer updates, but the on paper features of the elephone are very good.

Wireless charging and NFC are important to me, but if not for you then I'd stick with the Redmi.

    • You'd think so, but Elephone released the source code for this not 24 hours ago…

      https://github.com/elephone-dev/P9000-Kernel

Does my head in to think a MediaTek phone might actually have proper third party support.

      • It really is a smart idea. Phones like these are not bought by the general iPhone user, more likely from the more adventurist Android user who is more likely to root, install Xposed, and try out different ROMs.

Releasing the kernel will grow sales from this community exponentially, and grow the name outside China.

It's not like there's any real warranty to void!

Get it for $188.11 by buying through the mobile site with a new account (100 EB points)

    • Can you clarify? Interested

      • +1

To get this price you need to:

(1)Create a new account and add a shipping address on the regular www site
(2)Go to this link for the phone on their mobile site. this will save 2%.
(3)Select the phone and go to check out (no code required). You may need to log in again at this point.
(4)In the checkout the 100 EB points (maximum applicable) should be auto entered here.
(5)You also need to select shipping (free of course)

some times the total will go strange but is easily corrected if you tick and then untick shipping insurance.

Your totals should read (bottom right of page)

        Items Sub-total USD$ 193.99
        Mobile Discounts - USD$ 3.88
        EB Points saving - USD$2
        The amount payable: USD$188.11

        • I thought you meant 189 AUD lol.

        • Not sure why this is marked expired. I just got it for USD 183.99 using your method

          Items Sub-total $189.99
          Mobile Discounts $3.80
EB Points saving - $2.20 (I think I got an extra 10 points by confirming my email address)

  • Is this only in white or am I doing something wrong?

  • US version due out soon that supports LTE 700MHz, but it is B17, not B28. Not sure if that will work with Telstra/Optus B28. I'm not an expert in this matter.
