"With a rich and storied history in the South Australian wine-making scene, Kim Tolley produce intense and flavoursome wines at great prices. The Phoenix is a favourite among Coonawarra Cabernet lovers. The 2013 vintage is a medium bodied wine, with firm and fine tannins that are integrated into the wine, creating a very smooth and harmonious texture. Very linear with rustic flavours and great balance. The natural acidity adds some delicate chalkiness and earthiness to the Cabernet Sauvignon which leads to a firm and dry finish."

  Someone on the DM website is taking this wine back…

  I purchased 12 (2 Cases) on 11 July @ the Special ½ Price Offer of $10 per bottle. I think the wine is OFF, suitable only for the drain. I will be visiting Dan Murphy Menai on Monday to seek a complete refund of all 12, although I have opened 4 (all awful). I have never tasted such undrinkable wine. And it has a screw cap, not a cork. I notice each bottle has a blue overlay sticker obscuring the original barcode and indicating a new barcode, I do not know what that is about.

  Not sure of this persons experience but i bought some of this on the last offer and have already had two and they were fine.

  So much so I just ordered another 6 bottles.

  I got 6 bottles in the last deal and have finished one bottle. The wine is a little dry for my liking but it's fine. I did notice the blue barcode sticker and I suspect this is Dan's own barcode as the bottle says Dan muphys cellar wine.

  Yeah not my cup of tea either, there are better options on vinomofo or even await the next special on Dans. This is export label. Not normally sold in Aus from my research..
