  • Bought this from Masters, https://www.masters.com.au/product/900005760/everpure-under-…
    Easy to install no issue and good filtration.

    • Tempted to just buy from Bunnings & Masters, but upon searching on net, there are so many seem to be better ones for the same price or lower like below:

      • I put the wrong link, https://www.masters.com.au/product/900005759/everpure-pbs400… what I got.
        This is a inline filter system plus I got it for 20% off. Actual filtering is made in USA.

        My next preference was BRITA.

        There are cheaper one out there, but better quality ? that is questionable.

        • Sound good, inline sound very convenient. Can you diy? Or had to be installed by plumber?

          @Droid11:

          You'll be working with mains water, so needs to be done by a plumber. I was once told that if you take the approach that if you need to turn the water off at the street to do your work than it requires a licensed plumber.

          In saying that, it looks like it'd be really easy to DIY.

        • @Droid11:

          You don't need a plumber at all. You turn off the tape under your sink;
          undo the connection to cold water tap,
          install the filter, connect filter to inflow,
          connect the cold water tape to filter
          turn on the tap.

          job done.

          You don't need to drill any holes in the sink, just by pass the cold water tap. Just make sure use plenty of thread seals which supplied by the kit.

        • @boomramada: Wonder what's the difference between H54 & PBS400? The spec are not really clear

        • @Droid11:

          H54 - has small tap for filter water.
          PBS400 - inflow, no separate tap, your cold tap become filtered. (you need to change the filter in every 12 months) which I got, I don't have much knowledge about H54. You can check it out more in your local master store then wait for the ebay/master sale :)

          hope this page helpful : http://residential.everpure.com/en-US/product/water-filtrati…

    We bought the puretec x6 system

    Was 180 for the full kit incl filter.

    Filters are 90$ every 6 months

    We bought this from tradelink.

  • I bought my tap set-up from china. it was an all in one system. filtered water tap handle on one side and hot/cold water handle on the otherside. just one spout with 2 openings filtered/ hot-cold water. cost $80 delivered. here is the link - price has dropped since. :(

    bought the 2 stage filter system off ebay for $30.

    bought the filters from a "reputable" ebay seller. look for 0.5 micron filters

    hooked it up myself. the big tip is to use lots of teflon plumbers tape.

    or if you want a stand a alone filtered water tap for $23 delivered

  • We bought the Brita tap with a filter on it from Bunnings. It was spiriting water out of the filtered water spout within months (which was ordinary tap water). It was absolute rubbish. We returned it and the Bunnings sales person said they'd had heaps of them back. Many forums say the same. We just didn't read them before purchasing 😕
