If I knew that I wouldn't b asking!
I dono perhaps there a swingers club?
Torrent them illegally, or break into people's homes. They are your options.
Can't download them. Their encryption isn't cracked
You have very little knowledge, my friend.
Sigh
I have downloaded them, you're very wrong.
That is beside the purpose of this topic though.
Ur just downloading crappy quality streams not 4K BR
Why is there a report?
A legal and legitimate answer is free rentals.
Most rental places offer free rentals every now and then.
They probably offer free ones to first time members.
Whether or not the rental places have 4k Blurays opposed to regular Blu rays is something I'm not aware of and something that should be discussed in this thread.
OP, are you specifically after 4k, or just FHD?
4k is only worthwhile if you have a screen beyond FHD.
HD movies are regularly shown on free to air TV if you're only after 2006's FHD.
Edit: Another legal and legitimate could be streaming services.
I don't have the answers, but I imagine there are free 4K Res streaming services, or at least time limited trials for OP to try it out and get into.
With most video shops closing down, I doubt those remaining would invest in 4K stock.
And I don't believe the kiosks offer 4k
Kiosks might have them one day but I can't see it being any time soon. If you want 4K you need to pay for it. The selection available is terrible anyway, I mean who thought it was a good idea to put Smurfs 2, Pineapple Express, Chappie and Hancock on the list to be the earliest titles available.
Blu-ray discs, yeah, you can rent for free
But 4K Blu-ray, hhhmm, good luck with that
One thing I though of was buying the second hand. Watching and trying to sell them along again for the same price.
That or get a group going. Say like 50 people each contribute like a few movies to enter and the share the movies.
If you were to make a group they should get a few bucks out of it!
Sorry about the late response but I'd be into that sharing. I have a few 4K blu-ray titles for testing the 4K TV with Xbox One S and can't find anywhere to rent discs. Can you suggest an app/service to facilitate sharing. I had a very brief search online but nothing stood out.
im gona get a 4k tv and the xbox one s, and ill grab a few titles, not sure about a sharing app, could be a decent market/idea for anyone wanting to do it…. postage of disks wouldnt be much, isnt that how netflix started?! lol
ill let ya knows in the next few weeks
FYI, I have and would be willing to lend/swap (I am in postcode 2230) the following 4K discs:
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Jupiter Ascending
Pacific Rim
The Great Gatsby
In case you're interested in watching but not buying/owning these. They were bought cheap/on sale from JB Hi-Fi to gauge/test 4K HDR on my new Xbox One S and TV.
Following some on-line research (which is on-going) I think employing something like libib.com for library management with lending support might be useful for more than just a handful of titles.
heheh, the 2 for $30 sale?
i was gona get batman and jupiter too, pasfic rim i couldn't stand and great gatsbey, the original was better it thought, so no need for 4k..
ill take a look at that site, hopefully postage is only $1 or less if its just the CD ina thin cover.
@T1OOO: Yep, $24 on %20 off sale. Indeed, hardly cinematic master pieces but I have yet to watch Batman v Superman and Jupiter Ascending is not a bad sci-fi story and underrated IMHO. I have some of them in 3D for comparing the formats. Pacific Rim was more bubble gum enjoyable than I expected. The Great Gatsby just rounded out the 2 for $30.
I'd be keen to see films also released in 3D blu-ray but even hi-res nature documentaries or anything visually interesting and don't want to spend a lot on buying discs. This is OzBargain after all :-)
I don't reckon they will become mainstream , at least not in Australia. I think it will be skipped over by streaming services (which is even further off from 4k). Think of how many people still don't even use or sell FHD Blu-ray . and even more who just stream their movies. I'm planning to buy the 4k Xbox and a 4k once the cheap tv brands offer HDR, but I'm not holding my breath for 4k movie disks to become mainstream anytime soon , if ever. I could well be wrong though, depends how hard the manufacturers want to push the new technology into the market.
How would you expect to get one for free exactly?!
