The Elitebook 840 for $817 after 20% off would probably be my first pick. Very solid notebook, and decent battery life. Touch screen if that matters and has ethernet.

If you're looking for something more portable, the Zenbook for $959 would be a good pick, but you're stuck with 4GB RAM and no ethernet without an adapter.
