I am part of a fundraising committee for my kid's primary school. We are having a major fundraising event in September and are looking for prizes for our raffle.
Last year we purchased a Wii U console bundle that was very popular and we want to do the same this year but prices seem to have increased a fair bit since then.
As every dollar saved is a dollar extra we can give back to the school we are keen to find the best possible deal on a Wii U console.
I've see a few deals lately for PS4 and XBox but we are keen on the Wii U as this is for kids from Kindy to Year 6 so we are keen to steer away from the "shoot-em-up", "blood and guts" type games that are typically associated with these other consoles. I'm aware that Wii U also offers similar titles but there are a lot more "young-kid-friendly" games for the Wii U.
I've looked and found EB Games with a fairly decent bundle of console plus 4 games for $428 and Big W has a smaller bundle for the same price.
Does anyone know of anywhere else we could source one of these at a better price - or perhaps willing to sponsor part or all of the cost?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
It seems $428 is the standard price, though you might save by going down the 5% saving off gift cards and using that to purchase it.
However, this seems like a really good prize and I wonder if the owner of OZbargain might be kind enough to help out. Or even if he lets you setup a small donations page on the front page until you reach your goal, i'll be in and if everyone donates $1 you will get there in no time!
