As I previously mentioned Futu was doing this unit at $1899 which is more expensive than Apple $1849.

Futu have adjusted to $1850 on the 19-Jul-2016 15:38:08 AEST.

Would they have heard everyone's whinging and actioned on it? I don't know.

It says "Limited quantity available" and I am unable to track trade history.

Apply CTECH gives $1480 (saved $370), great price to give it a go.

  where's the stock? whenever i've seen it unavailable online, usually its very difficult to find in store as well (if not impossible)

      Correct, RAM is soldered on. This isn't comparing apples with apples (pun intended).
