Roasted & Salted or Unsalted 750g Pack $9.50

    Pretty good price for cashew

Also buy something else >= $0.50 from the fresh fruits and vegies section to get 1W$.

      • So $1 woolworths dollar is just a dollar off your next shop? Or do you have to build to a certain amount to redeem? I dont go to woolies much anymore.

      • +1

Hi, does this offer still apply? The buy above $10 nuts/veges and get $1W back? On 28/06, cashews were $8.00 per pack at my local woolworths, so I bought 2 packs, for a total of $16.00. I looked at receipt and there was no 1$W.

I was unsure if the $1W was not given because :
        (a) You have to have a vege to accompany the nuts, to make the $10. Although this doesn't sound quite right!

        (b) Woolworths system (wrongly) did not credit me the $1W.

        (b) on 28/06, the offer did not apply. But has since been brought back again? (I think I went and checked in recent woolworths emails then, for the terms of the offer, and found in an email which said, this offer till 17/06 or something.)

I am thinking of getting more cashews. So any info appreciated. Especially, pointers to where it is advertised. So if it is system error that does not credit the $1W, at least I can follow up with them. Thanks very much.

Good point maybe they're not doing that promo any more. Might be an idea to check at the supermarket next time.

Woolies is dead, long live Aldi

      • Woolies is dead, long live Aldi

They seem to be sabotaging themselves with their online shopping interface, it makes me want to shop elsewhere everytime.

Thx Op, Just looking for dippers ☺

    • I read diapers, lol

      • I should start learning how to type correctly :(

Any fresh fruit and vegetables or lean meats

I'm looking at eating healthy and taking care of my body

Most of the food items are pre packaged stuff that are full of preservatives and sugar

    • +8

Yeah good luck. Vast majority of specials are always junk food (i.e. what people want!)

    • These specials tend to be more local and based on oversupply or expiry dates

    • +3

that why you should shop at a green grocer & butcher or even better a market (if you live in a big city). you'll find the fruit & veg last longer and the meat will probably be better & tastier.

    • +7

With Woolies some stores have good "odd bunch" selection. They are the veges/fruit that aren't beautiful looking but taste great. They are also usually what is in season and best of all, CHEAP.

I was all about the healthy eating too until I saw Monte Carlo on specials for $2 at my local

Eating some now as we speak lol

    • I see you & raise you a packet of cheese twisties. but then again my phone reckons I've walked 20k steps today, so I guess I can count that as pre-exercised off :-)

      • Pity your phone is inaccurate.

        • got me, I strapped it to the dog & sent it chashing pigeons, whilst I ate the twiasties.

If you are listing at 5:00 pm, you can just share the link of the catalogue instead of listing everything here.

    • +1

I find it much easier to just read this list than wait for the catalogue to load page by page. Some of us appreciate the effort.

  • +3

they could, but then they wouldn't be getting 44 votes & counting

anyone else get the spend and save? directed offer but week 1 save $5 if you spend $30, week 2 save $10 if you spend $40 and week 3 save $15 if you spend $50. Not the worst

    • +1

Yes I got this same offer emailed today. Always happy to save some extra dollars.

      • +4

Make sure you check the dates carefully. The offer doesn't start until July 25.

        • +2

Thank you. Yes I noted it was next week.

Dang you Woolies, I just stocked up at coles on Nappies for $27 a box and thought I was getting a bargain!

  • +2

Does everyone check their recepit after purchases?

Of my last 7-8 visits self serve in the last month, I've been double charged 3 times. The first time Im found out after I got home, the other two time I was watching as it happened. It feels like the scanner is a lot more sensitive. The two times I requested a refunded, it was done pronto, no query or puzzlement.

On Saturday I used a service counter for the first time, and was double charged on one item then as well.

In my entire life I think I'm only aware of one other time this happeneing.

I was buying chocolate yesterday before the specials ended. I had 4 blocks only in the transaction which was exactly $10. I was surprised when the checkout operator asked me for $12.50. Somehow she had scanned one of the chocolates twice. She recounted and fixed the error. I then handed her a Woolworths Reward card which had $10 credit on it so I didn't have to pay at all. The checkout operator was very impressed.

    • As a true ozbargainer I thrive on Coles/Woolies making mistakes. I even fish for it (i.e Sometimes on Wednesdays you may see expired 'specials' tickets that haven't been removed), that's like a honeypot!! My eyes light up everytime the register scans the wrong amount! (Tip NEVER mention it on the spot. Just pay and make your way over to the customer service desk). I get at least 1-2 FREEbies every week. Sometimes big ticket items as well. Some people will play the victim (i.e BIG business is trying to rob us) and some people will cherish the opportunity. Pick the camp you want to be in. Although as an Ozb'er you're half way there.

    • Yes i've also noticed this in the past 2 months or so.
I think coles are the same. Its like they changed the sensitivity or timeout between each beep/scan.

So if you scan something with your arms/item towards the left of the area, sometimes, the time/motion to move it towards the right hand side into the bag sets off the scan again!

It's funny, half priced Golden Crumpets Rounds Pk 6 are $1.65. Identical ones normal priced in Aldi are $0.99. Three for one and 31 cents spare anyone?

    • +1

Can confirm that they are not just identical. They are exactly the same except for the packing.

      • +2

You'd find that makes it identical

  • Woolworths are terrible at price labeling… obviously lack of staff.

This mean specials aren't stickied, no wonder they're losing out to Coles, despite doing heavy discounting in the laat year.
