    Where is your local store?

    • -2

      somewhere in Melbourne

      • +1

Yes but which store. Trying to decide if it's worth going to our local Target to see if they have them.

    • +1

I think there is a lot of stock because they have them at my local.

      • +1

Are they reduced at your local?

        • +1

Yes, they scan at the reduced price

    • I saw the supplement on sale in Mornington, VIC store yesterday.

  • +1

Can anyone confirm that the deal is available from other stores?

    • +2

      Yes

  • +3

Just what is needed if you have an Ozbargain diet ;)

  • +1

I think they have reduced the Berocca Performance to $5 AU-wide stores to clear-out. Can conform that there is no 30pack left at Warrawong (I got last 2) or Shellharbour stores, NSW but 15 pack is there for $5 (still cheaper than other stores). Noticed all Swiss vitamins also have been reduced to $5,$10 and $15.

    • -6

Swisse is Swiss? (Roche is, but do they manufacture vitamins?)

      Nope.

After a trip to Switzerland in the 1960s to learn about the latest developments in natural medicine, Australian businessman and entrepreneur Kevin Ring was inspired to develop his own range of herbal and vitamin supplements back in Australia.

There is nothing too much in them to be worth any more than $5

Bought from marketplace leichhardt… no mention of sale just $5 for 30. Plenty there.

Most ppl r not aware that vitamins like C are useless at low doses. If u want real results u need at least 2-4Grams of C per day, when Ur sick an upwards of 10Grams per day.

These commercial brands that sell these are running a scam

    • [citation needed]

I'm not sure that level of any vitamin is safe…

      • Can't overdose on it, it'll be leaving your system through your urine.

        • This.

For adults, the recommended dietary reference intake for vitamin C is 65 to 90 milligrams (mg) a day, and the upper limit is 2,000 mg a day. Although too much dietary vitamin C is unlikely to be harmful, megadoses of vitamin C supplements may cause:

          Diarrhea
          Nausea
          Vomiting
          Heartburn
          Abdominal bloating and cramps
          Headache
          Insomnia
          Kidney stones

This is just plain wrong. 2-4 grams of C per day? LOL…where did you source this information from?

I found examine.com to be a good unbiased source for supplements & their benefits (or not). "The Human Matrix" section has a fair bit of detailed info on the studies performed & how accurate the studies are. But you're always left with that same unwinnable argument that most supplements are scams with no evidence to support & no evidence to deny.

I'll tell you one thing tho… If you suffer from hangovers, a berocca & 2 panadols b4 u go to sleep really works.

      • Government RDI is always at the lowest possible to cover everyone.

Example: Some people might not be able to handle 200mg even though it is 100% safe for another person. So government will limit the recommended daily intake to something ridiculous like 10mg (to cover overdose, manufacture inaccurate labels, people not measuring correctly, etc). And those ain't even guidelines for active people. Just for regular non-active people. If you lift weights or have a active lifestyle, you'll probably need more of ~~~ vitamins.

By the way, I take about 1g of vitamin C per day.

In almost all cases, if your body doesn't use up all the vitamin C you've taken, it'll just come out in your urine within 24 hours.

Good price for some urine dye.

I've always wondered what the point of Berocca was?

Used to have housemates that would take them for hangovers, but they didn't seem to do anything.

    • +1

Jury is out on their effectiveness. I tried them for a couple of months and spent a large portion of that time needing to go to the toilet. It was an interesting few months.

This peer reviewed journal article came to the conclusion that Berroca-like supplements can increase mood and mental performance.

      • +8

        increase mood

Like make an angry person angrier?

  • Does anyone knows if the pill version has stopped producting? Can't seems to find it anymore.

  • No 30 packs left at Cranbourne, Langwarrin or Frankston (VIC). Frankston had plenty of the 15 packs left for $5 though.

  • yeh same. Melbourne city only had 15 pack for $5.
