I placed an order from AliExpress and after a month when I messaged the seller regarding the order status, the seller advised that the parcel is lost in transit and now they are out of stock for that item.
The seller is asking me for paypal details for refund, whereas I paid by bank card. I am bit skeptical as why would seller ask for paypal account details.
Can't they directly refund to the card from which I paid?

The sellers are dodgy as hell. They try to offer less than full refund and stuff like dick you around until your protection runs out. I always use the aliexpress dispute option and I have always had the correct outcome. Even if it takes awhile. Raise a dispute.
