Previous cheapest was $289 + delivery. Also, seems to be a newer model if the product code is anything to go by (KALED40XXXZD). Anyone who knows better feel free to chime in.

My 32" bedroom tv from like 4yrs ago ($299) is one of the best panelled TVs I've owned.
This will totally vary by model and panel quality of course.
did you buy that when you were 16?
I think ozbargainers are looking for more context as to the true nature of your question here, tuzii!
Yeah same. That's why I'm rather hesitant. Reviews have been really mixed it's hard to tell.
$41.67 delivery to Brisbane. no deal
$9 more you get a TCL or Soniq from JBHIFI/GoodguysHey MountFranklin, which TCL model are you talking about? If it costs ~$300 I'm keen. Also, the Soniq 40" is back to $349 from $299 unfortunately :(
Does anyone know if these TV are gloss or matte finish? Thanks.
Glass
How would this go as a monitor? Tossing up something like this or a 27" FHD monitor for around the same price.
Monitors have better refresh rates compared to tv's.
I think I'll stick to a monitor. Reviews aren't generally good for this TV.
Not refresh rate but response time
Response Time 8ms ( A few 27" are around the 7ms, but for games should look 1ms/2ms , 5ms is capable but average.
Refresh rate should be 50mhz-60mhz ( Most monitors these days are from (60mhz)-144mhz)@Avacardooo Rayy Mee: You wouldn't get an 30" / 120Hz monitor anywhere near this price. Therefore the only practical comparison is response time.
@MadMaxBargainRoad: Yeah i know that, i don't really understand how a 30" 120hz monitor has come into the equation though?
Your comparing something greatly higher to something low?
@Avacardooo Rayy Mee: IPS monitors have a higher response, this one has the same 8ms which is perfectly usable. You are showing your level of expertise by using mhz as the unit for refresh rate. The unit is Hz, which is 1/s; ie 50Hz is 50 updates per second. mHz is 1000 times slower than this and MHz is 1,000,000 times faster, both are wrong however.
@Brouw3r: Yet your comment is invalid, as yes i have used mhz and i can see that it should be Hz, but i did not use mHz or MHz, meaning the word i have used mhz is not valid, making your whole write up about what is higher and lower nonsense, showing your level of understanding of a comment.
@Brouw3r: lol, thanks dude. I was nice enough not to call out on him. Well, obviously he is just arguing for the sake of it without any consideration of feasibility. I am not gonna waste more time on him.
@Avacardooo Rayy Mee: Obviously you're wrong either way. Why are you being so stubborn?
@ronnknee:
Wrong either way? Sorry mate ,I can't hear you over the sounds of no facts that you have came to the conversation with. Not like yourself, I have a job to attend too, and rather not waste my time talking to kids, such as yourself .
@Avacardooo Rayy Mee: Lol wow so immature.
Not like yourself, I have a job to attend too,
Yes, that's why you're on OzBargain…
Its called being good at your job, seeing as its after the school pickup times, it seems like you are just on your way home.
I have not been immature about anything, it seems you are just not that bright to understand where your input is needed.
its still school holiday, isn't it? I was speed at school zone this afternoon. ..oh..no..
How have people found these Kogan TV's? I've seen most (all?) use Samsung panels, but have yet to see one in person.
