I've recently moved to Canberra and have started working in Acton where the parking is $14 per day- does anyone know of any cheaper places near by for better parking rates, or have any ideas on how to bring these costs down? It's costing me almost $300 per month and there are no public transport options from my house or colleagues I can car share with. Hoping some people more familiar with the area than I am will be able to provide some advice…

I live right up north in Crace unfortunately
There's a Park and Ride carpark in the centre of Gungahlin. You could then catch the Red Rapid (200) into Acton, although it takes about 20min. Otherwise you could park in Bruce, like maybe Thynne St, and catch the Blue Rapid?
Google maps says its a 45 min bike ride if you're feeling fit ;)
Yeah I would get thyself to a park and ride and then catch the bus. There's one in Fyshwick at the DFO and one at EPIC.
You could switch to motorcycle and park for free.
What suburb do you live in? Could you try driving to the Red or Blue rapid route and then catching a bus? I assume it's too far to ride a bike.
