Price is if you pay in USD with no conversion fees. Comes to about $607 if paying in AUD using Amazon's conversion rate. Better get on it fast as it'll sell out quick. Cheapest in Aus is $789 (according to Staticice).

Damn that sucks. These cards are so in demand at the moment they barely last 30 minutes before selling out. I've been using this site: http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/nvidia/gtx107… to track stock so if you're still after one keep an eye out there.
MSI is shipping theirs . only 640 i think. worth it I belive MSI is better brand and costs more anyway? idk. my one is sent already coming next week cant wait.
Debateable but I would just look at clock speeds and noise levels, size (if your motherboard/case is small) and potential overclocking ability although that's a bit harder to count on.
In any case enjoy your new card, still waiting for mine while I game on intel 530 iGPU :|
I bought the 1070 Strix on the 23rd June… still waiting. Also been using the onboard. It actually goes quite hard haha
My EVGA 1070 SC comes mid next week! I can't wait either. Going to finally play games in 2K resolution at a good fps.
Seems to be working fine for me at $430US.. but i'd prefer EVGA for the international warranty…
And i'd prefer a GTX1080 :)Yep, back in stock.. ~5 in stock apparently.
My 1080 is on the way and should be here on 25/7. I ended up costing $892 after using my banks exchange rate. Amazon exchange rate was coming upto $960 or something. I got the Gigabyte by the way. Couldn't wait any longer to get the EVGA.
Nice, what are you replacing?
I'm struggling to justify spending money while mine still plays everything well (though not in 3D like it used to). 500 series though, so it's almost worth an upgrade just so I can ShadowPlay to an Oculus Thrift.
oooh, so tempting. Sucks ASUS has no international warranty.
Apparently Amazon's warranty is great… Or so people keep saying.
Amazon only provides 12 months warranty, not the full manufacturers, plus after 3 months you are responsible for the return postage. Although sometimes they cover it anyway up to 12 months at their discretion.
nvm delete posted
If I am not in a hurry, would these come down in price if I wait a bit longer?
Everything come down in price if you wait a bit longer. The only question is whether the AUD will fall faster than the rate of the price drop.
The AUD has remained fairly stable. I preordered the OC edition on 23 June and my crdit card just got charged. I am fairly sure it ended up being cheaper than what I had calculated at the time I ordered.
It's definitely a gamble, the markets are volatile as hell. A year ago I thought we'd be down to the 60 cents mark by now but the AUD has swung up and down and remained fairly resilient. I still think that's not going to last though. Best to make the most of it while we can.
Whether this specific brand drops in RRP or not, other brands of card with the same chip might come out, and demand will drop, which might result in reduced prices.
Damn, had it in my cart then went out of stock!
States no international shipping
Except when you logon it says!

Do you think 2 * 1070s in SLI would be a better solution than 1 * 1080. Will work out roughly around the same price.
Personally, No, i dont know a lot but i know you lose so much perfomance in SLI comapred to single card. the efficiency isnt that great.
Yes…except for power consumption, and if your talking about comparing standard editions rather than OC versions. Supposedly 2x 970 cards are 1x1080 (there are reviews on this)…but wouldn't get 'the latest', v. limited VR, but definitely cheaper. For 2 x 1070's + SLI bridge, not sure if it is 'roughly' the same price, as is would be on the + side of a 1080.
For my money (at the moment), the Palit Gamerock Premium Edition seems to be performing at the top of the pack (just a few frames/sec than others)…nothing yet on the MSI Gaming Z (just released).

I'm giving about another month before biting on a GTX1080…gives me an option to go SLi later for 2k/4k…but for now, max out the HD performance for a long time and video editing.
(NB: locally, Palit site suggest mwave.com.au as local retailer, but have nothing to suggest that…yet?)Good site that collates reviews:

Always better to pick a single card over SLI.
SLI 1070's will require a larger PSU with much higher power consumption
Also will generate a lot more heat in your case meaning you'll probably need to think about upgrading cooling as well.
I'm getting the 1070 STRIX OC but will only consider SLI way later down the line when the next generation cards come out and the price drops.
If I was to pick today, 1080 for sure!
Just imagine if our stupid AUD was on parity with the USD like it was last year? There will be so much more purchasing
These are back in stock. FYI
And 70 USD more expensive…
when I posted it was 430 but they disappear quick
Doesn't seem to be available:
Edit: Just refreshed and it jumped to US$565 with no shipping to AU.
