  My smart charger doesn't charge dead flat batteries so I need to use a useless dumb charger to get them to re-charge again.

    my bc700 is like this. on that model, you can place a bent paperclip from the +ve of a charging battery to the +ve of the unrecognised one. After a second it starts charging. doesn't have to be a paperclip, its just convenient
