    Get Barilla Tin (RRP $10)

Saw one today… Looks like it's worth $1-$2 at best…

  • Wouldn't a Tupperware/equivalent container be better for keeping the pasta 'fresh'?

    • totally beside the point :)

      • A free useless thing isn't worth getting if you're paying full price for the products to get it for free now is it?

Half price pasta + Half price sauce + half price container > this deal

        • isn't worth getting if you're paying full price

          are they full price though?

That's funny… in Italy that's considered one of the crappiest pasta :) ( source: I am Italian)

    • Any non-crappy ones to get in supermarkets?

      • I find 'La Molisana' to be one of the better affordable ones…

Agree. Also Gragnano is much better even not easy to find.

And tbh I prefer San Remo to Barilla even if it's not Italian:)

      • My parents who are Italian prefer Divella over Barilla and San Remo, I personally can't tell the difference between the three. The best is my mums home made gnocchi, it is delicious!

        • Short story: anything is better than Barilla. Barilla is simply the most popular

  • Funny to see Barilla on sale after they funded the so called "pasta won't make you fat" study that made headlines last week even though the actual paper provided next to no evidence of the sort.

    • not just that, years ago they funded homophobia campaign too, that's probably why people have boycotted this brand too. I myself just could not stand its stuckup price back then and switched to other better products

Each to their own. I in fact like their pasta over the other brands and will only buy this brand even not on sale. Coles always have them at $1.90 a packet when Woolies was selling them for around $2.40 some time ago and I think they now dropped their price too.

Us too. Barilla over San Remo for sure.

      • Me too. Best pasta on the market. I remember seeing Hughy using it on his cooking show. Think he still does now
