the price seems very good, but my next electric toothbrush will only be philips.

    • Why?

Interesting… I was thinking the same because the Philips sonicare's battery lasts about 3 weeks whereas I can only get about 1 week from the Oral B's. Is this new model's battery longer lasting?

I don't think the Philips clean as well as the Oral B's though.

A logical person would choose the toothbrush that cleans the best and avoids costly dental work but whatever floats your boat. Seriously who cares if one battery lasts longer, you are supposed to charge these after each use.

        But you're still considering it!!!!!!!!

I have both and the Philips cleans much better.

        • Agree: I would recommend any proper "sonic" electric toothbrush like the Phillips or Colgate over a mechanical-action/rotary only electric toothbrush.
I have upgraded to sonic toothbrush and not the hygienist or dentist can fault the results. Also I recommend pikster-style interdental brushes.

  • Cheers, grabbed one

What sort of power cord comes with it? Is it a non-detachable?
(Not keen on a chunky power adapter in the bathroom!)

EDIT: Looks like it is a fixed power cord, meaning you'll need to use an adapter to use.
Rather frustrating. I was hoping for a 'figure 8' style adapter that could be purchased locally.

Won't happen with electric toothbrush because they are used around wet environment, the charging unit needs to be water seal

  • I used both and Philips sonicare diamond clean hands down the best results

  • Price is now £79.79

  • Missed the bloody thing.
