Where to buy instant coffee bulk (cheaper)? (Nescafe Blend 43)

I'm looking at buying a lot of instant coffee, namely International Roast or Blend 43.

Perhaps, 5 of each 500g can.

Is there a way I can do it cheaper than just going down to Woolies/Coles whenever I run low?

Edit: I realise this might not be the right location.

    I think you should join Costco.i forgot tbeir price but it is cheaper than Woolworths and Coles.

      Way too out of the way to be worth any savings.

    • how much does costco sell them for?

    $14 for nescafe is rock bottom.

    • I've considered joining these guys… problem is that they don't display any hint at the prices or buying load there before you join.

      Ah, $15 per 500g. Hmmm. Not that great, not bad though.

    If you can't find an alternative, it's a good idea to use pricehipster on coles/woolworths and stock up on them they're $14 for 500g

    you can create alerts which email you when it drops below a certain price (in this case, set it to $14.01 or something)

      Wow that's a great tool! I wish you didn't have to subscribe to each individual store if you're just looking for lowest price on a product.

      • Thanks (I'm the creator). I wish that was the case too. It's a tricky technical challenge.

    I am a little horrified at the prospect of multiple kilos of International Roast or Blend 43.
    Who is your victim, StoneSin?

    • The parents. I want to save them some money as buying coffee whenever you run out is so much more expensive than buying it in bulk when it's on special.

        In that case, 400g Moccona is regularly on special at $16ish. Well worth the extra if they insist on instant.
        It lasts indefinitely unopened.

        • Believe it or not, they both can't stand Moccona.

          @StoneSin:
          Can't argue with that. My best suggestion is buy up big time when the deep discount sales roll around. It seems like the big tins have minor specials reasonably often, but the big specials only once or twice a year.

        • @StoneSin: No helping their taste buds then. I'd at least not get International Roast, nobody deserves that fate.

    • For some reason, Officeworks are 50% higher than the competitors AND they don't do specials.

      • And the size of packages OW sells is probably exclusive to OW.

        • Ah didn't see the 700g, was looking on price hipster and they wanted $50 for a 1kg pack.

          It just didn't make sense, even in a 6-pack bulk it was expensive. I think it's because businesses prefer 1kg and are willing to pay more for the ease.

          @StoneSin:

          My last comment was wrong as Colesworths does sell the 500g pack and so does Officeworks. So next time Colesworths has a special go to OW for a further 5% off and stock up.

  • Nice one Sin. It will be even harder for our tastes . Message gold blend decaffeinated. Often not in stores and rarely under $10 for little bottles.

  • have you tried Aldi's Alcafe Aroma Classic? I think theyre trying to imitate blend 43 but its around $4 for 200g.

    • I'll buy this next time I pop in there, give it a bit of a whirl next time the kettle is boiled.

    Probably better off waiting for a big size in Coles/Woolies to come on sale rather than chasing the bulk buy dream.

  • Check The Reject Shop. It has quite a few grocery lines including Nescafe 43 for cheaper than the supermarkets. Aldi Alcafe Aroma Classic isn't bad either for instant.
