      Tyre is British English while tire is fine under American English.

        Correct,, and Australia has not as yet been annexed by the U. S. of A. ;)
        AAMOF, China is more likely to beat them to it by pure dint of ownership,, but then that's how free enterprise works (as opposed to the USS Enterprise, which works on dilithium crystals)!

  It's quite a good deal, but I'm not sure if the original prices at Bridgestone retail stores are competitive enough - for four 16" tyres, for instance, it works out to be $15 a tyre as a 'cash back' - I have a feeling places like Kmart Tyre & Auto might be more than $15 cheaper per tyre in the first place.
