  • Would be nice, but after activating my account successfully, when logging in it says not activated.

    Oh well…

*edit - works in IE but not in chrome for some reason.

I recently bought and played through The New Order. Everyone said it was great and I was really looking forward to it.

I found it really dull. It felt like constant cut scenes with very little game. And the cut scenes were very, very silly. I can see peoples hackles rising and complaining that nazis blended with supernatural is already silly. Well, yes. But in the earlier games it's pretty contained. You only have to believe it in a small world. A single building/castle for the most part. In The New Order it's covering the world and they attempt to ground the game in a reality with the brutality and personal relationships. Your suspension of disbelief has to do a lot more work.

I liked some elements of it all but the overall experience was just boring and felt more like a JRPG style interactive story than an action game.

    Still. Good price.

    • As Worthabuy on YouTube said, cutscene cutscene cutscene, reload shoot, cutscene cutscene cutscene

      And perks.

      And quest items glowing.

      Crap game.

      • I watched Worth A Buy's review because of this post.

I agree with most of that. I'd add that it also has a bunch of "pretend gameplay" moments that are really just cutscenes but they have you doing Hold X To Pay Respects moments that have no time limit and are just waiting for you to walk a short distance and/or press a button.

      • 81 on metacritic, not 1 negative review out of 23.
Coming from professional critics, it sounds like a great game.

I found it exactly the same.

if you skip the cutscenes when it gets into a 'days of our lives mode' it's a pretty solid game, The New Blood was a lot more enjoyable imo, but it was a lot shorter and played on nostalgia a little more

I enjoyed it overall. I agree that it is a bit heavy on the interactive/non-interactive cutscenes, but they provided a bit of pacing and story to the game.
Definitely worth a play at this price.

    • Pretty much sums up my experience with this game!

  • wish it was this price on xbox one!

    • it's only twice as much for a physical copy from EB, finish it and take it back or see if you can on sell it later

If i "only" paid double for everything…

      • consoles rarely get the same deals that PC do, i know it goes against OZB ethos..

  • I enjoyed it. But it crashed every 5 mins so I gave up on it. Only have this issue with wolfenstein, not other games. UNPLAYABLE. Do not buy.

PS: I understand my tech, both hardware and software.. it's not noob issues.

Not a common issue by the looks of it. Might just be an issue with your particular configuration.
Not accusing you of being a noob, just that some HW/SW configs do not play well with each other :)
