Authentication: Xiaomi Mi Pad 2

Wondering if the ozbargain community can help me out as it is really bugging me.

I bought a Mi Pad 2 v Windows 10from a 98.8% seller on ebay, received my tablet last night. I took it pictures all along the unboxing process. I could not locate a scratch off authentication logo and the 'serial' on the box didnt meet the 20 number criteria on the mi.com/verify webpage.

I have gone into the device settings and gotten the product ID, the problem is that the last 5 characters were alphabets and when i enter them in the mi verification website all i get is 'please enter correct security code'.

if anyone has a windows mi pad 2, can you please advise if there are any other checks you did that proved its authentication. I downloaded an Antutu benchmark and its score was 100,000k.

• i did contact the ebay seller and she said 'the scratch off code is all numbers' and when i showed her pictures of the box and back of pad with no code she stopped replying :(

    It is the windows 10 version , i went into the store and i couldnt find the app for it :(

        Yeah, i dont think i really like the windows version, i have a laptop for that. Thinking about flashing it to android but holding off incase i have to return this or something if the seller doesnt get back to me

  You can compare with this I guess if you nothing else to go on. Reviews both versions. Unboxing doesn't show any verification code scratch off though, so it might not come with one.

    Thanks! When i was following what he was doing in the last 2 minutes i realised that i was actually trying to verify the Windows 10 code haha. Still have no idea how to find the actual serial for the device though.
