  • The WeMo Insight Switch is great as it is not just a remote switch, but also it records electricity use. I have one on my heat pump hot water system. It only runs during off peak times (o/nite) and i can work out exactly how much power it is using.

  • Belkin, the same guys who have had notable security and functionality issues with their wemo products?

Really it's a bit unfair just bringing up Belkin when just about every IoT manufacturer appears to just not give a crap about security. But yes, Belkin as a hopeless as the rest.

      • Yes, I wouldn't trust any of them.

  • Has anyone got Alexa to make their lights throb? Did it make you smile? Should I but some? I have Alexa and she is mostly bored lately lol

    • I control a house full of lights with Alexa. Can get frustrating at times with occasional lag but overall pretty happy.

  • I have 4 Wemo light switches, 4 bulbs, 2 switches and a sensor. I can control them all from my Android Wear watch with IFTTT. I don't need a maker, but it might be fun to play with. I could set it up to the garage door.

OK. Is taking a long time to turn lights on and off working out well for you?

      • You realise I still have wall switches, right?

  • I can't justify spending this much on bulbs. Seriously maybe if people didn't just hand their money over these companies would learn their lesson and stop price gouging Australians.

All showing at the standard price for me, so either it's finished or it depends which store you pick.

  • printed it yesterday and it was on sale price, today its back at original RRP.

  • Full RRP at local bunnings here.(is 179 for the kit)
    Must be select stores only

  • Back to full price for me as well at the store I purchased from…looks like deal is over.

  • Not a long deal

  • arggg am still looking till this day for a wemo maker module, after some guy took the price matched ones I had reserved at bunnings after the last time when they were $20 odd dollars @ dick smith!! :(

$78 still isn't as cheap as $20 but I would have picked at least 1 up..

  • It was cheap for several weeks. I think they have reset the prices due to a sudden surge in purchases :(

  • Bunnings at parafield still has the low prices on the shelves so you can still get the prices. Just go to the register and complain the price is low on the shelf they will fix it.

  • Yes!! That's what I just found out. Was going to get them to price match HN, but saw the tag still advertising for $78. Took a pic of the tag, showed it to the cashier and they manually overrided the price!
