how strong is the phone grip againts bumpy car ride..
I have got 1 but could not find a spot to grip this thing… on top of it, the grip is pretty much useless and it's not gripping on most of the surface in the car…
They're not as strong as it might appear to you, shaking all the time.

the arm is reasonably stiff. should be ok for your use.it is only $2.7. i paid about $15 for mine a couple of years ago.

those clip-on connectors aren't worth trusting your phone to. What you want is a sturdy screw-in clamp with wide base that can properly clamp various thicknesses. The gooseneck is also too stiff for convenient re-adjustment.
My experience is that although the clamp and arm are good, the base rotates and is very loose.

obviously you dont know the rule to neg a deal. it really depends on what you use it for. it is nearly useless to hold a phone on a moving car, but very handy for some indoor use, just like hold a phone as shown in that picture.
I use it in the same way as that picture.

I found exactly the same thing. Those ball+plastic tightening screw joints are extremely weak. I bought a couple for my wife and I to use in bed but the joints are so loose the phones always flop out of the way. I tried to tighten mine more so it wasn't loose, and the plastic nut cracked. No use whatsoever.

These things work fine
if you intend to use the device while its clamped then better off getting a clamp mount
But this does its job fine if you just want to view a video on your phone or take a photo/video
i use mine as a floating phone dock
Got mine today, suprisingly decent qualtiy. The neck is nice and stiff and the clamps tight.
Would recommend.
