I'm looking to paint the exterior of my house (weather board) come spring, size of my house is roughly 16-18 squares 2 storeys. I'm still deciding weather to do this myself or get painters to do it.
Does anyone know how much it cost to hire someone to paint a whole house?
Or if someone had used a good painter recently and would recommend in the Melbourne region.

Good tip! Need a quick repaint this coming Spring/Summer and was thinking of DIY option as it is an investment property and the last few tenants trashed it. Can I ask where you'd get a air compressor? usual places or 2nd hand?

So you used a spray gun for exterior too? was it on weatherboard?
It was conite rendering.. required a lot of paint but beats using a god damn roller or brush
Just make sure you pressure clean it first. And scrub with a firm broom

It won't be cheap, expect at least 5k easily. I had a few quotes for my lounge and 3 bed rooms and it was $1700-2500..
Ended up buying my own air compressor and cheapo spray gun for around $250 and did it myself and never looked back, ended up doing the outside about 5 years ago and its still good today.
Unless you have some fancy woodwork I'd just spray it.
