My problem is it the android app (latest version 13.0.0) refuses to run if I've been offline for a while.
It works OK if I'm online.
It works offline OK for a short period after I've run it online.
But after a day offline it refuses to run - it just spits out an error message and then quits. This makes offline OTP generation impossible.
I've tried contacting Citibank and, as expected, their support is not helpful.
Any luck trying airplane mode?
I think I've experienced that when I haven't used the app in a while (like a day or two). The phone operators wouldn't have a clue. Really the programmers of the app are the only ones that would understand the actions being performed to generate the error. But who knows if they respond?
I've had so many problems with the app I'm nervous to rely on it overseas. I get session time-outs and it frequently asks me if I want snapshots again. Like every second time…
I've fixed session errors by rebooting the phone (force closing Citibank in Settings didn't work and clearing the app would require setting up OTP again) but your error may require "phoning home" to fix.
What's the error message? inb4 "an error has occurred"
