Received this exclusive coupon code from OzGameShop yesterday. DELV15 gets you 15% off almost everything on the site (for example, Koss Porta Pro headphones is now $42.36 delivered). Pre-orders, sale, special offers and consoles are excluded. Standard delivery is $1.99.

Note that it says "15% OFF EVERYTHING - Affiliate Delvu Media Pty Ltd" after you applied the code. However there's no affiliate link on this deal and you might be able to use cashback sites such as Cashrewards (1.5% on coupon deals) to get more discount.

Update: Words from TA that you'll need to use the coupon code SG15 which is the official code from OzGameShop to Cashrewards to get 15% off + cashback.

Also "MIC15" gives 15% off as well at the moment till the 10th of july

    • OzGameShop appears to be giving the 15% off code to quite a few different websites. MIC15 would be the code for comparegames.com.au.

    • Surely they don't stack?

      • Nah they only allow you to input on coupon code

  • +3

I just placed an order earlier this morning before this deal was up! Good thing I can cancel it and make a new order :) Thanks scotty!

  • JT15 should work until Sunday 10th of July.

  • hmm I never got an email about this discount :(

    • +2

The coupon code(s) was sent to various gaming related websites "exclusive" to their readers. DELV15 is the one given to OzBargain.

  • +2

I saw this on another site and went through the prices, there aren't any significant bargains.
The games that are cheaper are by $5 or so, a lot of the games cost more even after the discount.

Nice to see an OzB exclusive voucher, however.

    • +7

Some board games are well priced at 15% off.
Nothing like when brexit happened and 365games had free del.

  • Ordered Star Ocean PS4 ltd ed for $59.50.

Also noticed that you may get the pre-discount price worth of points. So that is further discount for future orders.

    • Except that they've drastically reduced their points system.

      • Their points system just suck a lot now. I mean the minimum spend at each tier is utterly stupid compared to before.

      • As compared to when? I haven't ordered anything in years but in 2011 I only got 1,503 points for a $60 item. My current order for $60 comes with 3500 points. This is on top of the fact that the AUD was 10c higher in 2011 compared to today, meaning you were paying for less value as their new game AUD prices have not changed.

        • The points are worth less.

        • @Putnum:

22/10/2011 Points awarded for ordering Deus Ex Human Revolution… 1,513 ($1.51)

5/07/2016 Points awarded for ordering Star Ocean Integrity… 3,500 ($3.50)

          ???

        • @plmko: Sorry, the amount of $$ that you can redeem your points for was drastically reduced a couple of months ago. There was a big thing on here about it and a lot of OZB'ers got credited vouchers for their current points. I think the BASE voucher is still the same, but it doesn't increase as exponentially as it did, now it's just linear.

        • @Putnum:

In other words before, there was a point in saving up points and using them all at once.

Now there is no point in saving points and it's even better to split a transaction in multiple orders to get a the points discount at a lower minimum spend.

        • @azzajess: Yes, if the price is even any good.

  • +5

looks like they are not getting much business

    • +6

They've got someone high up that's making really bad decisions.

      • +6

they need to drop prices on a lot of the old console games that have been out for years and more aggressive on PC games given how often digital distribution sites have sales and such

    • +3

Retail has caught up with them. I can get a new release in store for around the same price as they offer, and I don't need to wait for delivery.

  • Awesome. Cheers dude. Bought metal gear hd on the vita for $26.20 delivered. Been hoping to pick it up under 30 for some time now

    • Sorry if anyone missed out on it that cheap. It looks like ozgameshop have increased the price now to coincide with the sale >:/ price jumped from 28.49 to 31.49 before the discount.

      • Yeah, and they had it listed as 'last one' for most of the day despite several people here purchasing a copy… Jeepers.

  • +11

Just a friendly reminder to never pre-order games. Not even once. Real friends don't ever let their friends pre-order.

    • +1

what is the reason to not to pre-order?

      • +10

Sometimes the release dates slip and you're essentially out of pocket for that amount of deposit $.
Sometimes they think they've essentially gotten a guaranteed sale and don't put in the extra finishing touches release a polished game.
Sometimes the place you pre-ordered from suffers from inventory and shipping issues either because of them or the publisher, meaning you can walk down to another store and pick it up earlier and potentially cheaper.

When you pre-order, you support this bad culture.

Most importantly, the game might turn out crap. I'd rather wait for reviews to be released and huge bugs and problems ironed out.
Worst example I can think of was last year's Batman: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/07/disastrous-pc-port-of-…

When publishers release pre-order special limited edition stuff, they're really trying to entice you support this kind of crap.
Of course, if you trust the developer/publisher and they have a good track record, go for it.

Alpha-stage games on steam are even worse. They're selling you an incomplete game and there's no guarantee they'll release a good v1.0 since they now have your $ and can take as long as they want.

    • +2

I pre-ordered Overwatch and never regret it :)

      • +1

Blizzard is a safe bet though

        • I own every Blizzard game available now, even the expansions of games I haven't touched. I am sure I am not alone…

        • Yup! They always take care of people who buy their games with free updates even years after!

Unlike some who want to squeeze every pennies out of us with DLCs

  • +8

Could someone indicate if there is even a bargain on offer at the site? This just looks like a straight up advertisement. The prices at that place are mostly terrible, from a quick glance at least anyway.

    • +2

Depends on what you're looking for. I purchased Stein's Gate PSVITA for a mate and a few other goodies (batman ceramic mug, ultra pro folder - I play casual MTG, Overwatch badges - great gift) I had my eyes on to make the $50 free shipping mark (after discount).

Edit: To be more clear, Stein's Gate is $19.54 (free shipping if you spend over $50 or add $2 for postage) which works out to be cheaper either way than this deal that received 73 upvotes:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/247430

      • Stein's Gate is also on sale for $17.95 on PS store if you want a digital copy

  • +1

do keep in mind you can't trade their games at local stores. these games are from UK.

    • They do have Australian stock for some games eg. Pokemon Omega Ruby.

    • my local EB charged extra $1 for the label when I traded games from UK, US, or Asia but you can still trade those games. Although more profitable to just sell the games through ebay.

  • +5

Make sure to check out ebay, amazon and EB before buying anything. Games I want to buy are either overpriced or out of stock.

    • You call OGS overpriced and then cite EB Games, the most overpriced retailer of all time, as a place to check for cheap games?

Let's look at the top three games listed on EB's webpage as part of their "biggest sale ever":
      Uncharted 4: $77.00
      Rugby Challenge 3: $77.00
      Dirt Rally: $77.00

      Ozgameshop prices after 15% discount:
      Uncharted 4: $60.77
      Rugby Challenge 3: $57.37
      Dirt Rally: $56.52

So yeah, EB are NOT the place to buy games from even when they attempt to have a hyped up sale where the "sale" price is still easily beaten by competitors every day price and when you get a discount on top of that it's a no brainer.

      • Depends on games you are looking for.
Assasins creed syndicate charing cross edition for $45
Batman arkham knight limited edition for $40.
Mortal Kombat X kollectors edition $88
        I challenge you…beat that

        • Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - Charing Cross Edition, an EB exclusive so that doesn't count as it's impossible to compare when no one else sells it.

Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition, the only copy that EB have according to their stock finder is 3084 kilometres away in Kalgoorlie WA and is only available for pick up. Tell me again about how much of a "deal" this is?

Mortal Kombat X Kollectors edition is out of stock @ EB.

Do you have any actual comparisons that are relevant?

So yeah, you fail devang153, if that is your real name.

  • +7

Their prices are terrible generally and I can get stuff from Amazon US cheaper including the huge postage Amazon charges.

Ozgameshop was relevant years ago when games were $100 here, but since they have come down to $70ish it's not worth the postage wait.

Didn't work for me when trying to buy an xbox one controller.

Gave me the following error:"You must spend over $0.00 to use this voucher code. Please note that this code is not valid on pre-orders."

    • I ordered an Xbox one wireless controller about 1 hr ago, $56 after the discount code. Also ordered Lego star war the force awaken for wifi u $43 after discount. The code works.

  • +5

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze Wii U (Selects) for $27.62 is a good deal, and with delivery only $1.99, I don't think you can get it to your door any cheaper elsewhere (as it was never released in Australia in the Selects range).
    https://www.ozgameshop.com/wii-u-games/donkey-kong-country-t…

    • This is probably the best deal imo. If you don't mind the selects packaging. This game is fantastic, great couch co op and the difficulty is just right. Recommend it to anyone with a wii u.

      • Easily the best deal I reckon. $8.50 more for the non-Selects packaging. I just want to play the game so I don't mind the Selects packaging.

  • Thanks OP. I've been waiting for a code for Ozgameshop. I got 2 Wii U controllers and Splatoon.

  • The dead of winter xpac seems decent @ ~$83 after discount. It's a preorder though, so you probably won't get it until early next month.

    • Code isn't supposed to work on pre-orders? But yes I was hoping it would be available given Plaid Hat is shipping copies now..

      • Ah, you're right. Just tried it and it doesn't work.

  • I got MGS Collection for Vita for $26 delivered, that's the cheapest I've ever seen it.

    • +1

      It's $17.95 on PS store

      • +1

Some people prefer hard copies such as myself, it's like a library on display.

        • +1

Yeah I already have a digital copy from PS Plus, I want a retail for my ever growing collection.

      • Thanks for flagging that - as much as I like the idea of having a retail copy chances are I won't get around to playing it so best I go for the cheaper option!

    • How did you get $26 delivered - did you spend over $50 and get free shipping on the order?

      • $28.49 + $1.99 postage minus $4.27

  • +1

I remember when this site used to be just for gaming and it was then they had great prices..Now that they seem to sell everything (like stores eventually do) the prices all get jacked up the wazoo.

  • I am thinking of getting another xbox one wireless controller from them. After applying this discount code, the final price come to $56.52 (i hope it is in AUD$). Is this a good price? thanks

  • +2

Cheapest place to get Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE . It's reviewing pretty well, 82 on metacritic. Since it is niche only eb and jb are stocking it at full retail price $89. With this code it comes down to $59. Pretty good for a new release.

    • +1

Just ordered, thanks mate. Sick of seeing JB stick solid to the $89 price.

  • +1

With the drop in the GBP, isnt it much better to buy from their parent store of http://www.365games.co.uk/ , even with the ozbargain 15% off, its still cheaper to buy from 365games.

    • +5

      No, it's not.

  • Doesn't work on NZGameShop ):

  • +1

OzGameShop aren't what they once were, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions for under 60 better than you'll find elsewhere if you're happy to wait for overseas delivery.

  • Cheers some great prices there with the discount, cheaper than international key sites.

  • there a code for 365 that works ?

  • Awesome. Bought the board game I was eyeing out.

  • I bought more than I planned on. :c
    … :D
Layton vs. Wright and A Link Between Worlds on 3DS, and Steins;Gate on Vita.

  • How long does shipping normally take?

    • From my past experience it takes about a week and half to two. Though it varies i guess depending on where you live.

  • This 15% off code can't be added to Player Point you already have with the site. I have alot of player point and only just found out you can only use them when you spend a certain amount, which makes them pretty useless and will make me stop using the site

    • +1

And you can't apply both codes simultaneously which is a shame given you essentially 'earn' the credit and should be able to apply it to a sale…

  • +1

Some good Wii U Game prices (incl 15% off) versus Aust retail (and eShop)
    • Splatoon: $37.40 versus $80 at EBGames
    • Pikmin 3: $42.50 versus $80 at EBGames
    • Star Fox Zero: $41 versus $68 at EBGames

Buy two and get postage free.

One thing to buy at EBGames though is Rayman Legends - only $23 new at the moment

  • how long does it usually take for games to arrive? Purchased on the 5/7 still waiting. Where are they shipped from?

    • About a week to 10 days

    • Shipped from the UK I believe.

PS: The ones that I ordered during this offer all arrived last week.

  • I wonder if we see another 15% code soon,or even 10%

    • Maybe not "soon", but the next 10% off is on 2nd of September for the Father's Day promotion.
