Intrepid Travel - 50% off deal but for Oz only

Hi,

I saw Intrepid are doing 50% off on Saturday but in Australia only. Does anyone know if there is a way around this? I saw it posted on a friends Facebook but don't really know them well enough to get them to book for me. I'm in the UK and the deal isn't on the Intrepid website here. I called and they said Oz bookings only. Any ideas?

  • cool deal, intrepid has been one of my best tours so far

Is south america good during June-July? or is it better later in the year?

with your question, this may not be helpful because i dont really know. i wouldve thought you could just book it through the australian intrepid by online, calling or emailing. Thats all theyre asking us here to do. i doubt it would matter if you gave an overseas address. and from memory, the documents are printed from email (though i could be wrong). another idea, maybe even ask your local travel agent, who has an affiliate agent here, to organise the booking for you and post you the documents. i can give you the number of a rep at flightcentre if you want. Someone here can probably tell you if this is unwise, i havnt really thought about it. anyway thanks

  • Generally these sales are for last minute bookings on selected trips. Like you need to go within 2 months or so. Just to fill up spaces. Great if you are flexible!

  • Intrepid are great. There weren't that many trips available at 50% off, but I was almost tempted by the USA one. Sounded fun!

Maybe get someone here to book for you and send through scans of your passport etc. It may depend of whether you have a Aust or British passport. A friend of mine booked an Intrepid trip for me in the UK while I was in Australia (needed to book as a pair to room as a pair) so I'm sure it could work the other way around. From memory they never saw my original passport until the trip, I just turned up. Back then, in my case when all the conversions were said and done, it worked out to be about $100 cheaper to pay in GBP than AUD on a $2-3K trip.
