Best Camera on an Android Phone - Under $400AUD

Hi all

Looking for some suggestions and advise on purchasing a new phone with a good camera.

Basic Specs I am looking for:

  • Android 5 or higher
  • Size 5" or close enough
  • Under $400 (lower the better)
  • RAM 3gb or above
  • Micro SD
  • 32GB ROM ideally or above. (would consider 16gb if good price)
  • can be any brand, have had Chinese brands before with no drama.

The phone be mainly used for web browsing a few social media apps, sms, calls and photos.

If you have a phone with a great camera and it fits in these specs would be great to hear from you.

      And have a phone after 6 months go intoa boot loop.

      I know i know they were only a certain batch but yeh not impressed really.

        So what? If you're in the minority who has a faulty device, you get warranty replacement.

          Im going to take a stab that anyone with a gray import will have issues claiming here in aus as many would know companies like to mussle you out of warranty.

          So watwatwat i dont like to see people fall into a know problem and i would assume a lot of the second hand ones could have this issue.

    you say - The phone be mainly used for web browsing a few social media apps, sms, calls and photos.
    Then you don't need it to be 3GB .

        I think it takes great photos, and the best front camera I have ever seen (even has a flash).
        5.5 inch screen.
        phone feels great in hand and works well (she plays games, social media, internet, photos, messaging, calls and has nfc (we use it a lot)
        see if you can track one down for a cheap price.

          I have bought from them before and would again , good service and phones are Aust stock and warranty, not grey imports.
          You can always ask for a deal from them, they might make it cheaper.

    Here is a comp with the nexus 5x which if could be had with 32gb storage could be a winner…. although the s5 does still kick along nicely… 16gb storage with msd slot and 2 gb ram which is enough to do what you need.

    *touchwiz a problem? Run another launcher.

    Gsmarena did a shootout with this handset and some other mobiles and it was pretty darn good competition.

    olny hesitation with samsumg is there laundry products I have had have been terrible and service is shocking.
