    One Way

Is this a sneaky state government ploy to increase the population of Tassie?

    • Haha, my bad, i should have written each way, i ll update the post now.thanks

    • Malcolm & his mates will be sending them before the next election.

I heard the seas there can get rough.

Found a Dev to Mel on the 17th Sep for that price. Car is $89.

  • Cool. I've just come back from a trip there. Sailed at night though (the recliners are pretty bad for sleeping!). I was on the boat that had to stop and help search for that man who fell overboard last week or so. The seas were pretty rough that night, especially with the boat stopped. A day trip would be interesting, still probably worth it to get a cabin too even though it's a day crossing. Might have to book a trip back!

      Are you still in Tassie?

      • No, back in Melbourne. I meant a trip back to TAS.

This is how the comment started.

    • The day sailings are fine - I much prefer them. Just grab a good chair and be prepared with plenty of battery life in your laptop/ipad or book - or bring a power board so there is no fighting over the power points.

That explains what happened to the guy who fell overboard…

      Have they found the guy?

      • Sadly no. The last I heard was they called off the search after 12 or 13 hours. Due to the water temp and conditions and other factors (sharks) they said his chances of surviving were next to none.

You'd have to be doing something very stupid to fall overboard on those ships, so it's either natural selection, or a jumper.
