Hi guys,Marsh Mellow for Note 4 is out , few months has been passed but the SM-N910G Version, the one i have got with IINET(OPTUS?) is still on Android 5.1.1 and it is looks like no new version will be released! On Sammobile there are many Marsh Mellow Roms for the SM-910G,can you please suggest to me which one could at 100% suit my model and explain the procedure?

Cyanogenmod?
Who asked you to just wait and sit. Lazy but hehe kidding
Do something. Root. Install custom Rom. Play. Flash. Learn. Have fun.
Problem solved. Thread closed.
"I do not want screw up my phone."
Then dont go playing around with roms that could. Just because your phone still runs 5.1.1 doesnt make it useless.
Unless you know what your doing and be prepared to troubleshoot if things go pear shaped.
Weigh out what benefit will Marshmallow bring that you dont have? Is it worth the risk doing it?
I've got a note 4 as well and waiting it out patiently. Vodafone has a webpage which details the progress of updates. That being said if you want the latest just root the phone and flash a rom onto it, just read up on the whole process beforehand.
I installed the 6.01 version for india from sammobile, haven't had an issue
Do you have my same smartphone model (IINET)?
yes I do, being going strong for a month now
Thanks guys
My husband is looking for a new phone, but we've found that his Samsung devices rarely get any updates, and if they do, they're well past when they're released. He wants to get a really cheap one that has KitKat (the really cheap one) or Lollipop (the slightly more expensive one) on it, but I've warned him that it's probably going to stay that way, given his past history with them.
My wife bought the Xiaomi Note Prime and i think for that price she has got great device.
Just get him OnePlus One or Nexus 5x. Both has the best update @ around $350
I heard Xiaomi has very good update but dont get the Redmi series.
Yeah. Google Odin for Samsung. I usually use UK ROMs - BTU I think.
Using an official ROM from another area will not trip Knox and will not void warranty. It does come with some risk though.
What are you missing out on, that you feel like you need to risk bricking your phone to install a new ROM?
By all means experiment if you like (it's fun and can get addictive) but be aware that it's not for everyone, and it's very easy to lose data or create more bugs than you fix. And there's always the risk that you will kill your phone and have to replace it.
odin. but if you need an explanation its best not to do it.
