  Design does not look comfortable.

  Flat earmuffs means your body heat is going to warm those earpads very quickly, and it will feel hot and uncomfortable.

    Glad that didn't scare me away from these, which have a similar earpad type. Before they fell apart from years of overuse, they were my most comfortable small headphones, far better than the type they were replaced with. Appearance can be a poor predictor in my experience.

      Appearance may or may not be a good predictor, but I sure as hell am not taking chances. If the ear muffs were recessed, I know there won't be any body heat conduction, so I'm safe. If it's flat, it's anyone's guess what will happen, and if there's a chance they're going to be crap, I'm not taking it.
