How to Use Your Promotional Code
•Add one or more products sold by Amazon.com in new condition to your cart.

Terms & Conditions

In order to qualify for the promotional credit, you must: (1) be the recipient of the corresponding offer (either via email or on Amazon.com); (2) purchase at least $50 in Amazon Gift Cards ("GCs") in a single order at Amazon.com between June 26, 2016, and July 9, 2016, 11:59 PM (PT); and (3) enter the promotional code "0716GCARDS" in the "Gift Cards & Promotional Codes" box when you check out.
•Purchases must be for at least $50 in combined GC value, and the GCs must be purchased in a single order at Amazon.com.
•Offer valid on GCs purchased on Amazon.com and, in the case of Email GCs scheduled in advance, delivered before July 9, 2016.
•For qualifying purchases, a promotional code ("Promo Code") of $10 will be automatically applied to the account used to purchase the GCs after the qualifying order has shipped. An email notification will also be sent within three (3) days after shipping to the email address associated with the Amazon.com account used to purchase the GCs.
•Limit one Promo Code per customer/primary email address.
•Promo Code is valid through and expires on August 24, 2016, 11:59 PM (PT).
•Promo Code may be applied only to eligible products sold by Amazon.com Inc. and its affiliates and does not apply to products sold by third-party merchants through the Amazon.com site.
•Savings from the Promo Code will be reflected on the final checkout page on qualifying orders.
•If items purchased with the Promo Code are returned, the amount of the Promo Code used to purchase such items will be subtracted from your return credit.
•The Promo Code is non-transferable and may not be resold.
•The Promo Code may not be combined with other offers.
•If you violate any of these terms and conditions, the promotion will be invalid.

      Yes you can add gift cards to your "gift card balance" and then pay from your "gift card balance". If you have a gift card balance of say $100 it doesn't matter if it comprised one $100 gift card or 10 $10 gift cards or whatever.

    "Coupon clipped" for me. you guys got a US amazon a/c & a US shipping address? (Ive also got Amazon via DNS Proxy set as US)

      Yes you can gift to yourself. I have been using amazon.com for years without a US shipping address and without DNS proxy. They ship worldwide. Often they are cheapest option for shipping to AU even with shipping costs. Small high value items such as memory sticks are often good deals. Or they have free shipping offers such as https://www.amazon.com/b?node=9230143011

        Thanks, yep have recieved & added the $50 GC to my account & the extra $10 is on the way in 3 days.
        My other comments were for the guys who weren't able to get the offer. I didn't get an email about it, but it worked.

      I was a "recipient" through a banner that appeared while browsing Amazon. Not sure why it works for some not others. It does say "Exclusively for new gift card customers" but it's not clear what that means. Perhaps it only applies if you haven't bought gift cards previously?

    This is one of those targetted promotion that Amazon runs every month (they'd run another one next month around this time, I think). Some people would be eligible and some won't be. Don't know how they decide who receives it though, it seemed very random.
