31

This is my first post. Was just looking at microSD cards to get a rough price and found this bargain from Kogan. 64GB for $25.

You can get Sandisk Ultra's and Samsung Evo's for cheaper than that on eBay currently, even Evo+ is less than $2 more, all including shipping. I would be inclined to trust these brand name cards over a Kogan re-badge.

Edit: Links - all from Shopping Square, I would say just as legit as Kogan.

Class 10 doesn't mean anything. .. i would never go with a no name sd card

  • Samsung 48mbs read for $19: http://www.gearbest.com/memory-cards/pp_204281.html?currency…

For some reason the price fluctuates, was $14, then $19, then $22, then $19. All in the space of a few minutes as I refreshed the page.

Note that site Gearbest that site can trick you with US dollars and delivery take forever

      • Can't really trick you when there is a currency selector at the top, but yeah shipping takes a month or something.

You should have stopped refreshing at $14

      • Seems the $14 must have been in usd, the page just auto converted to aud after that, so it is only fluctuating between aud $19 and $22.

Gearbest is banned here…. with good reason…

      • oh, didn't know.

      • Hello Andy, I have had issues with all the big drop shippers I have tested out - Gearbest, China Vasion, Bang good. Have you had a good experience with any of them?

        Cheers

Not a very competitive price for a card with no branding. I don't really trust kogan branded stuff.

Why bother when Samsung and Sandisk are regularly around this price

Why trust a noname card with your data? Kogan buy these from whoever offers him the cheapest price and he'll change suppliers in an instant to save a few cents so past performance is no guarantee.

Buy a branded card from a manufacturer who has a reputation to protect unlike Kogan. Branded cards can also be purchased cheaper.

  • I would never buy an unbranded card from a Bogan.

  • My experience:

A year ago Bought 32gb micro SD to put on mobile phone, around 4 months died during overseas trip cost me few holiday pictures.
Ran crystal hdd software or something like that, had few bad sectors, sent the report to kogan they sent me new card for free no question asked.

Till now afraid to use that new card.

Please do not buy anything with kogan brand. Not sure how they can float at asx with such bad reputation….
