If You Could Have Any Features on a VPN Service, What Would They Be?

Hi everyone,

I would like to firstly disclose that I am a rep for uFlix so everyone knows.

We would like to ask that if you could have a VPN service, what features would you love to see built into it? This is more of a question to do with non-standard features VPN's offer. So, what does your dream VPN service look like and what does it do?

Thanks.

  • i don't know much about uflix as a product, and i'm currently using express VPN. some of these exist at expressVPN and some don't.

    • simultaneous use policy with one account i.e. i can connect my laptop, PC and iphone using one account instead of having to buy one for each
    • servers in melbourne and sydney but also some in areas where i need a vpn to avoid being cheated by online retailers for games i.e. mexico, brazil
    • simple setup and user interface
    • bunch of protocols like OpenSec LTTP etc etc.
    • completely hides the user making hard for ISPs etc. to track traffic in any shape or form
    • very good torrenting performance for my linux isos
    • android/ios apps as well as support for popular devices and consoles
    • pricing rewards loyalty wherein a user gets discounts for each year he/she renews.
    • Hi,

      Thanks for the reply.

How important would you say having exit nodes located in Australia is? Is this purely a speed issue for you?

      Thanks.

      • yes, speed or more like mitigation of speed loss is important for me.

        • Hi,

          Thanks for the information. :)

    • dedicated IP address on AU server with appropriate resources to handle the next two things …
    • unlimited transfers.
    • gigabit bandwidth.

    :D

    You did say anything!

    • dedicated IP address on AU server with appropriate resources to handle the next two things

I'm not so sure you understand the underlying premise of why "we" use VPNs.

1GbE and data transfer are inconsequential to the above. Surely it would be more practical for the exit point of your VPN to be in a different geographic location to take advantage of some of rogr's points.

    • Hi,

      Thanks for the reply.

Why would a dedicated IP be on your wishlist? What advantages do you see it having for yourself?

      Thanks.

  • Somebody posted looking for a VPN provider that accepted Google Play credit as payment. Hope this helps.

    • Hi,

      Thanks for the reply.

We will be sure to look into that :)

      Thanks.

  • I'm currently using Hola.

They had one product which allowed me to manually set up the vpn's via my computers wireless and network settings. Mainly because I was having issues with the icon they embed through your internet browser.

They've since removed this feature. What I originally set up on my computer manually is still working, but I didn't save my Password details for the manual vpn setup.

The one that is embedded with the internet browser isn't as sharp, regularly lags and is pesky.

My manually set up VPN with them generally works a treat.

When my subscription is up with them next year, I'll be looking round for a new provider.
