Im after a griffin ipad 2 mini case there currently is one of the sites on ebay promo with there price of 69 down to 59 and but with 30% off 47 and thats good price comparison to goodguys,jb hifi etc.
But looking on ebay i see a seller has same for 38.
Are these fake? He has sold loads and in last 12 months got about 9 negs and not related to them.
And has sold like 500 plus of them.
Has pretty good feedback.
Either he is selling genuine ones or nobody knows any different?
Comparing to goodguys or jbhifi seems cheap and even that site as part of the promo i can get it down to 47 but that will be back up to 59 in next 30 mins.
Not sure what to do.
Spent 350 on the ipad mini for daughter xmas and want to protect it but want to make sure i got genuine case.
Who knows maybe the site i can buy from is fake also but costs more.
iPad Griffin Case on eBay fakes or not?
Comments
Thats the thing has very little negs and nothing pointing to the cases.
$38 for a case compared to site i was going to grab before 20% promo ends $47 and $69 at high street.
Maybe i should ignore the one i can get for 47 with ebay promo and see what else i can get.
The listing on ebay for 38 sounds good but maybe too good to be true
You can tell if a seller is offering fakes by looking at what other item they sell
Generally the ones selling fakes, would also sell other random, unrelated products that are imported
Genuine resellers are only licensed if they can show they have been in the industry and are reseller of other reputable brand
I've seen sellers on eBay who sell branded mobile accessories, alongside lingerie and other random stuff. Clearly they are importing from Asia and reselling the fakes along the same channel
Anything that can be faked will be faked and sold on ebay, whatever the price, its getting very difficult to spot the fakes from whats real. I wouldnt take the risk personally especially if you are only saving a few bucks.
The price isn't at a level where i would consider 'too good to be true'. Mainly because Griffin products can vary highly in price when they are imported from overseas.
On Amazon, iPad 2 Griffin cases range anywhere from $24 to $40 USD. In Australian retail-land though we pay a gigantic markup.
Look closely at his negative feedback and see if you can spot anything pointing to counterfeit goods. If you see a lot of negatives on high-end, highly priced goods, you should avoid.
Buy using a Credit Card and if it turns out to be fake you just do a chargeback.
