How To Send A Few Large Boxes Interstate?

Hello,

We will be moving from our small unit in Hobart, TAS to a fully furnished place in Brisbane, Qld. We are selling all our furniture and large objects and just keeping what we estimate will be about half a dozen large (1m^3) boxes of things we'd like to keep - mostly clothes, but also some children's toys and computer gear (one PC tower and 3 monitors).

We are really not sure what the best & cheapest way to ship these boxes would be and would really appreciate some advice.

      Thanks, but I just looked at their price quote calculator, entered following:

      Large Carton, 25kg * 6 pieces, 1m^3… Road Freight 9-10 Days

      Your Price: $3014.99

      Surely there is a cheaper option? The stuff in the boxes is not even worth that much…

    You may want to pay excess baggage? I think $25kg is about $40 depending on airline provided you buy this well BEFORE your flight, not when you get there to check in.
