My partner is desperate for a new laptop as he's recently ceased employment which provided him with all his computing needs, & he's also in need of a few tax write-offs before the end of the financial year. He's been shopping around for weeks but has yet to find anything compelling enough to make a purchase, but it's getting a bit close to June 30th for my liking, so I'm hoping someone will have seen something & can point me in the right direction.
He definitely wants something with a sub-14" screen & i7 processor, plus a minimum 8GB RAM & an SSD (the bigger the better), & would ideally like reasonable battery life & a backlit keyboard too, although these are not essentials by any means. In addition to brand new products, he is willing to consider purchasing a refurbished or display model product, or even a second-hand one it it comes with some warranty &/or reasonable buyer protection - in typical OzBargain style, we're just hoping to get the most bang for our buck (as you do), which I'm sure you guys understand.
So if anyone has seen something which would be suitable recently, while going about your usual OzBargain-hunting, it would be much appreciated if you could share the link here so he can finally pick one … or to just add possibilities & confusion to the ones which he's already considering. LOL
