Anyone tried the QBE Send and Switch? Automotive Insurance

Hi,

I am looking for feedback for anyone who has tried QBEs Send and Switch campaign.

They say to send in your renewal and they will call you back with a better offer!

What has been your experience with their pricing on this campaign?

I'd call QBE for a quote without giving them your renewal notice - you might save a larger amount if they dont know what you're currently paying.

  they need to see copy of your current policy before they will match and/or beat. Happened to me.
  
  they also pointed out the pitfalls of the current policy where the car was insured for agreed value but there was fine print that said only market value would be paid out- very misleading

      no - not at all. just sent them the current policy and they bettered it

    They cannot provide a quote on a car without seeing your current policy?
    
    If true, that seems absurd to me… how do they provide quotes to people who buy new cars?

Ive done the online quote as a guide and will try the send and switch after a bit more feedback from y fellow Oz Bargainers!

I haven't done the 'send and switch' but their quote/policy has been much cheaper for me compared to RAC, SGIO etc.
