i wish they did this with bf3. i bought bf3 premium and close quaters was by far my favourite DLC, but not many people played it after 6 months or so and now no-one at all. definitely put me off ever spending the extra cash on a future BF premium game.

Is that right? They may have all free at one point, but they aren't all free right now.

Sign out and you'll see that Naval Strike is not free presently. If you're Premo, the store will list the price as "free".

No, China Rising hasn't been free (unless you got one of the pre-order prints of the game disc back at release.)

Neither have been free. Both will be made available for free in the lead up to BF1. Of the paid DLCs, we've had Dragon's Teeth, Final Stand and now Second Assault.

Add it online by clicking add to cart, then proceed to checkout. Once thats done, go to your PS4 and then to the PlayStation store find it and click download.
Select the game on your playstation, go to "add ons" and look for the free one. Add to cart and "buy" and it's yours forever.
Can confirm good for PS4. Download can easily be made from the BF4 main menu by entering the "Promotion" window on the right also.
Just need China Rising & Naval Strike for BF4. Need Betrayal, Getaway and Criminal Activity for Hardline.

Hey guys, I haven't got BF4 yet on my PS4, waiting for a good deal before pulling the trigger.
Just wondering if it's possible to download DLCs like this one before getting the game, then once I buy the game, to "add on" the DLC to the game?

It's only free if you have a Gold subscription on Xbox platforms.
Will a trial work?
I was under the assumption that all the DLC was multiplayer, thus xbox gold would be more or less required. Given today is Friday, perhaps activate your trial for the weekend and see how it goes?
