Waiting for Xiaomi power bank
i bought a crappy one from JB for $35……4400mAh what is life….
How much is the shipping charges?
Free shipping on all Australia orders.
This looks almost identical to a Romoss.
Samsung/quality or chinese battery cells?
The Romoss's have been as low as $21 for chinese cells or $35 for Samsung cells and Australian stock.
ROMOSS are OEM/ODM so it's possible that they came from them.
Romoss with QC2 are only $23 here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/253959

Different brand & LocalLithium-ion battery
Input: DC 5V 1A <——— This gona take forever to charge the powerbank
Output 1: DC 5V 1A
Output 2: DC 5V 2.1AOOOH my god.
I missed that.
You are right.
It will take forever.Input: DC 5V 1A <——— This gona take forever to charge the powerbank
The battery is 11,000mAh at nominal 4.2V (charging) - so that is 11 x 4.2 = 46.2 Watt Hours
Let's say that the charging circuit is the typical one, something like a LTC4088 chip - it'll be about 90% efficient. So, we need 46.2W / 0.9 = 51.3 Watt Hours to charge it completely.
Now, we charge it from USB at 5 Volts 1 Amps so that means it's 5W per hour. So, it'll take 10.3 hours to charge completely. Overnight, which is no big deal.
Anyway, not many people completely drain a 10,000 mAh powerbank in one sitting.
I've bought these and other cygnett battery packs before, they suck.
They seem to degrade quickly, they dont charge as much as you'd expect, they are slow as hell and I've had several taken from my users at the airport because they're missing the FCC codes and stuff that should be printed on them.
Their USB micro cables suck too.
I wont buy that brand again.
Xiaomi have completely destroyed the market for over priced power banks.
When you can buy a 10000 mah good quality xiaomi for $15 who wants these with a 1A input?i have carried on my romoss batteries before and noone have inspected the battery to see if it has the FCC codes etc… where did you have problems with batteries?
btw, my romoss battery has the FCC logo on the back along with others logos… not sure what is actually needed

It's just scaremongering. There is no requirement for FCC codes on these things.
However they WILL get taken if you put them into checked-in luggage. That is a no-no… they MUST go as carry on.
it might be "just scare mongering" but you try and argue the point with a TSA one day…. Those asshats will put you on a list and you wont fly again ever…
you try and argue the point with a TSA one day
No need to argue with them - the TSA publically publishes all the rules:

In fact, the TSA administers the requirements of the FAA…

might be "just scare mongering" but…
I was mainly referring to scaremongering by you, with false claims about FCC markings being required.
