Just wondering if anyone who bought this monitor during the sale actually received it? After waiting 18 days and twice being assured it would be dispatched Futu Online cancelled my order without explanation.

Looks like OP got Futu'ed.
I bet Futu online probably sold one too many and had no stock so had to cancel.
Well got a message from Futu (conveniently after the cancellation) stating that Dell keeps changing the ETA on them. Currently online with dell (been 45min) trying to get a deal of them! lol never been so hard to buy something in my life!
Dell Australia is the only official supplier of these displays, and they are also out of stock at Umart and Mwave. I'm guessing there really is very little local stock ATM.
So can confirm after chatting to Dell for an hour that there has been a supply problem with this monitor. They gave me a price almost as good as the Ebay sale price. Caveat being a delivery eta of 10 working days i.e 2 weeks. So as you can imagine after waiting nearly 3 weeks already my first foray at buying a Dell product is coming to an abrupt and unsuccessful end. As far as Futu is concerned some correspondance from their end would've gone a long way but It seems communication and after sales service is not something they are interested in.
Funniest part of all this is I went with a Dell and an Australian seller as I thought i would be the most hassle free route. My last monitor purchase was from Korea and was actually a dream compared with this experience , and thats where I'll get one from now.Update from DELL rep…ETA is 6 WEEKS!!!!!
LOL haha! Screw it man, just buy a Samsung PLS monitor and be done with it. Though most lower end Samsung PLS monitors lack Vesa and have no vertical height adjustment…
Gonna pull the trigger on this today…. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/QNIX-QHD-2730R-Zero-DP-Perfect-Pi…. Uses a 2560x1440 Samsung PLS panel and seller gave me a small discount. Still gonna look for a smaller Dell that I can use in portrait mode if one ever becomes available to buy lol. Will post here what the quality of the monitor and postage time is like if anyone is interested.
what a coincidence, I also bought a Korean monitor last Friday. X-Star DP2414, probably using same panel as a Qnix 2414.
My monitor arrived.
The manual is in korean…. hmmm.
Turned on the monitor. The OSD is in korean hmmm.
The buttons… where are they.. found them! They are on the fricking back…. aarggh..
But no dead pixels, which is good. But I have to tweak the colours because they look awful out of the box, and this is the hard part with Korean OSD.

Not surprising, though. Think about it for a second, when you buy with an Australian seller, there's so many places where it could go wrong - Dell's factory, the international distributor, the Australian supplier, the warehousing and retail level…etc. This is compared to you buying it directly from some guy who probably sources his monitor straight from the factory in Korea, not surprising that the Korean purchase was smoother.
This is exactly why Australian retail is completely bullsh*t, too many middlemen trying to make a cut from doing absolutely nothing and when a mistake happens somewhere along the unnecessarily long supply chain, you don't get your stuff.
Spot on! I just sent my dollars direct to South Korea instead, hopefully I don't get Kim-chi'ed!
