Deciding on a third party car insurance. BINGLE VS AAMI
1) should be easy to claim
2) cost economical
3) thoughts of NRMA but prices are ridculous

aami has a call centre, bing doesn't
aami 550 and bingle 350
aami and bingle are both owned by suncorp, your experience should be pretty much the same.
Depends if you want to save $$$ by doing your claims online, or whether you would prefer to speak to someone if you get into an accident.
Which one is less pain in the ass when making a claim?
I'm good with technology, but sometimes there ain't many options to the questions and answers on the claim forms
Generally calling is the least painful option, and after a crash it's comforting talking to a real person that will put your mind at ease.
I'm not sure on the processing time when it comes to Bingle, but I doubt it would be quick (Taking into consideration the amount of claims they would process)
Bingle say for you to claim online. However there is a number to claim if you have just been in an accident and need help. coincidentally it is also the same number you can use to follow up on an insurance claim.
I have been with Bingle for various cars over 5 years and made 3 claims in that time. Never had any problems.
For 3rd party just go coles woolworths or austpost
do an online quote and do the cheapest
For greenslips i've been with QBE for a long time, simply because its no fuss. As people say they are all (profanity) since there's basically no competition.
Unfortunately if you have an older car and/or you live in a crappy suburb then you're deemed a high risk.
You are looking at $750 for a clean driving record on a car 10yrs old. Closer to $800+ for someone with points.
I dont do NRMA road service any more, I used to be a long time member but it made we a weak piece of shit who relied on them for stupid stuff.
So now I can do all basic stuff myself and I have a guy who will flatbed my car if I need it.
AAMI over Bingle. I claimed with AAMI a few months back and the whole process was completely painless.
