  • Is it just backward compatible with Xbox One or is there another version only for Xbox One?

      Backwards compatible.

Nice, the only thing that stops me is this game is almost guaranteed to be a free game with gold. Ryse feels the same.

    • I've been hearing that prediction for about a year now..

    • It has been around a while, and still sells well. If it does go free, grab it. I only know one person who 100% this and they made a new profile to do it twice.

  • Excuse my noobness, but if I buy this and download it to my 360 with the aforementioned DLC too, will it still work on my account on an Xbox One if I decide to upgrade in the future?

    • +6

Purchases are tied to your account rather than the console, so yeah it'll work when you upgrade.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm keeping a sealed collector's edition even though I'm selling off my other LE games. Recommended

  • How about American Nightmare? Is it a DLC or an independent game? Seems it's not free.

    • American Nightmare is a separate game, not DLC.

  • If you've been wanting to try out Quantum Break, you get a free copy of Alan Wake + American Nightmare for Xbox One.

:EDIT: Think it's retail only though.

    • Alan Wake is included with Quantum Break, but American Nightmare is not, and if it is, then Target, EB, and Big W have some questions to answer.

      • Eh, I bought mine from MightyApe and it came with Nightmare.

        • Wait really? That's bull! I mean, lucky you and all, but screw that.

Edit: I just gave the game a quick Google and EB's page for it says "Quantum Break includes full game download of Alan Wake, the Xbox 360 game playable on Xbox One, as well as The Signal and The Writer add-ons." … So maybe it's certain retailers or something, either way, again, lucky you, buddy. A free game's a good game, well, it's a good price anyway.

    FANTASTIC GAME!!!

  • I've only got a 4GB XBOX 360, does anyone know how big this download is?

    • +1

      6,7GB according to downloadgamexbox.com

Cheers, well that takes care of that then, oh well :P

        • Buy it on steam. It's often cheap.

(Not this cheap, but cheaper than replacing an xbox which is also probably cheaper than buying a hdd for it)

Just stick an 8GB (or more) USB stick into your 360 and play it from that.

        • @MCE:

I honestly had no idea you could do that haha, thanks!!!

        • +5

@StarForge: The Xbox 360 now also supports external hard drives via the USB port.

I had a 4 gig 360 I've only just sold, check out your local Cash Converters-type store for physical editions of this and heaps of other good 360 games, for around $2-$8.

Actually got a free code for this the other day otherwise I'd jump on it, supposedly such a good game.

  • Hey does anyone know if I buy the code and activate it, do I need to download the game and DLCS immediately or can I do it later (I am out of space)

Speaking of which, also if I have purchased a game with code in the past and delete it, can I redoenload load it without the code as I would if I had it on Google Play? I have quite a few games from Games with Gold and I am not sure if I can download them later when I get rid of it (or I'd have made room by deleting some of the old ones).

Yes, IME you can make the purchase now on the XB store & do the actual download later at your leisure.
