Has anyone used glasses specially designed for LCD screens such as Gunnar glasses? Do they really help in reducing eye strain or is it just a marketing gimmick?
Effectiveness of Computer Glasses

Before I started using the Gunnar HD 4507 Gaming Lenses I was only able to get 6 headshots per game of CoD: Black ops III. But now with the gaming lenses I am getting at least 8 headshots. Best $499 I ever spent.
You played a game and you got better at it. Despite this happening hundreds of times previously this time you bought a pair of glasses claiming to make you better half way through the process so now you think it's that doing it.
Think of it this way..
Nothing is worse than getting sniped by a cod ninja only to then be "teabag taunted" prior to getting re-spawned.
That's about 2 seconds of humiliation per headshot.
Get the glasses and prosper-you also get to be the teabagger and not the teabagee!
OK.
Seems wierd that your claiming to achieve significant skill improvements by putting on a pair of glasses. I don't even think the marketing goes as far as bluntly saying that presumably because they would be violating advertising law and I haven't read any reviews making this bold claim.
@Diji1: the yellow colour also helps you focus for longer hours. This is part of the advantage you gain. You probably outlast the competition
@supnigs: Did you learn that on Gunnar's "Science" page that has no peer reviewed articles?
@Diji1: no, I researched why it was yellow because I was fascinated by how it works. There's various articles on yellow filters and eye comfort. Especially at night.
Even Apple made an option to changed their screen colours to a warmer yellow hue for comfort.
Disagree. As soon as I take off the glasses I'm back to 6 head shots per map. The glasses also have HD so the resolution improves and I can aim better with my sniper rifle. They are worth the investment.
Why do I get eye strain while using computers?
http://www.specsavers.co.uk/help-and-faqs/why-do-i-get-dry-e…Do Computer glasses reall work?
http://lifehacker.com/5980509/do-computer-glasses-really-wor…Buy a monitor that has blue light reduction.
Reduce the blue light down all the way and your eyes will thank you later.
Benq gaming monitors have them.I use TN monitors
My belief is it's a gimmick so clearly I'll biased and ignore/discount evidence :D
I should be more open minded I guess. Thing is for me I only ever get eye strain after I stay awake for most of the night staring at a screen and then I get a terrible migraine which is basically the only time I get headaches.
Wear these glasses and you may find it help you with headaches. It's got to do work the yellow colour from research
Just download f.lux instead of spending your money on yellow glasses.
Not to mention that Yellow tinted safety glasses are on ebay for less than 10 delivered…
Yeah, good for pro gamers-give u the edge. 360 no scope!
